Hi all,

I received my new Ellisons catalogue today and am having a browse.

On page 23, there is a Wax Master wax for men.

In level 2, I was taught when waxing males just to use a wax for sensitive skin.

I'm just wondering what is the safest/best way.

Specific male brand and if so, any recommndations or stick to sensitive?

Cheers in advance,

Hiya,

When I trained about 10 years ago I was never taught to use a different type of wax for a male as to a female. Some females can have very corse hair also. I personally can't see why you would need a different wax and feel this may be a bit of a gimmick but I would love to hear other peoples opinion and experience. I do understand the difference between hot and warm wax. Sorry if that's not much help. X

I only do male waxing and I dont use any of the waxes that are designed for men. I use Perron Rigot waxes and I use their hypoallergenic strip wax wax called Cristal Ocean for general body waxing and Euroblonde their signature non strip wax for intimate waxing treatments.
I find that these waxes work fine and I use a tea tree range of post waxing moisturisers.

Great stuff guys, PR is a definate yes as soon as I have sufficient funding, just wanted to be certain I didn't need a specific to men range.

Jack, you are as always a star x

I'd second Perron Rigot too; that's what Andy Rouillard has always waxed me with when I've been his model at seminars at beauty shows, and it's a fab product.

Ruth I agree they are more than suitable.. Often when you see these male wax brands they are normally dark coloured waxes with non floral aromas!!.. At the end of the day the client just wants their hair removed and they are not generally interested in the colour of the wax!!

You don't need special wax for men. I specialise in mens waxing and I use the same strip wax and hot wax that I use for my female clients. HTH's
