The same reason as any other man. My other half can't understand why any man would but it's a personal preference I suppose.

As a regular waxer I have it done for the same reasons as any female would want it done and the fact my wife prefers it.

Wind up or no wind up, least he had the decency to prepare you and that makes me think the call was genuine. Imagine your horror if you had'nt known beforehand. Chances are you just turned away a really good client thats desperate for an understanding wax therapist. Yes these things occur in a "alternative" life style which is a very small knit community. So another thing to consider how much revenue have you just turned away??

Think of the big bucks people and a niche market!!!

Oh and for your information these devices are removed under permission only, so yes of course they are allowed to wash their area JEEZ

Spraygun, I wasn't expressing an opinion one way or another. It's a personal preference. I was taken aback that anyone would need to ask why, when intimate waxing is such a popular treatment with men and women.

OHH MY WORD...just googled it , how sick ...i defo wouldnt be letting him come to my salon ...
argh im freaked out for you x

Sorry if I misunderstood you silverbird. It does amaze me how some people (sorry to say females) have certain opinions about guys that get waxed but it's ok for females! The CB6000 thing yes it seems strange to me as well but hey ho each to thier own. Would it seem as strange if a female wore a chastity belt and asked for a waxing. Wonder if it would get posted here as being wierd? Probably her partner would be slated for being a control freak!!!!!!!!!

Googled... I wanna wash my eyes!

Yes, it would be strange.
Just get it off before getting waxed. Simple.

You missed my point besides she might not have the key!!!!!!!

I would rather have turned it away than have felt awkward.

Given the fact that putting someone in a chastity device and then giving them the key would be a pretty pointless exercise, I doubt whether they (male or female) would have the key.

You have every right to do that. In fact it would probably be best for that particular client if you did refuse as you find it distasteful. I would simply say that I did not feel comfortable with it so would not be the right therapist for them.

...would be better off googling for a kink friendly therapist. Each to their own and all that.

That's actually the best advice I've read so far on this thread, and would be my suggestion too... although I'd imagine that it would be quite a tall order to find a therapist who excels at male intimate waxing but who is also sympathetic towards the BDSM/fetish/alternative lifestyle community... however if such a therapist did exist, then it would probably be useful for other therapists to know of their details, so that they would be able to refer such clients to them if they were uncomfortable with performing treatments in such circumstances themselves...

If he called back then I would have just said I was sorry but I would not be comfortable with it but thank him for being honest and letting me know on the phone first. I was just taken aback at first as I have never seen or heard of anything like that before, and was a bit shocked.

Each to their own though :)

I totally understand you feeling uncomfortable I was making a general observation and my comments were not aimed at any one person. I was just trying to look at it from a different point of view seen as everyone seemed to be focused on the ewwww factor.

Going back to the comments about why not suggest he look for a kink aware therapist. If he does ring you back why not suggest that he look in kink specialist magazines, theres sure to be some listing somewhere.

Turning it on its head for a moment. Those therapists who would be happy to work with those clients that others might not feel comfortable with (like this man) could perhaps consider posting on websites that cater for alternative lifestyles. There is clearly a demand for understanding therapists.

Googled it

Hehe am chuckling!!

No....honestly, I couldn't see how you could get around it to wax it.....

Oooohh, arent you all narrow minded!
I would of asked him if he was able to remove it, hes probably not, as he would of before coming to be waxed, then i would of asked him why he has it on, if it were for genuine reasons, i would of gone ahead(if possible!)
poor bugger, probably took all his courage to call you.

The fact that he has it is probably between him and his wife/husband, he probably just wants a waxer thats open minded.

p.s, i didnt know what 1 was, googled it, and i particularly like the army 1, hehe!!

I am amazed at the response this has generated! Especially people who have responded simply to say "EWWWW"

If you ever don't feel comfortable doing ANYTHING (waxing related or otherwise) don't do it! Simples

These type of treatments are definitely not up my street but Live and Let Live I say. Poor bloke isn't doing anyone any harm by tucking it away. The fact he wants "around and about" waxed is his business.

There are often posts on here asking about new treatments, people looking to offer something different etc

Can't help thinking there's a great business opportunity out there for the right minded therapist.....

Exactly. Sorry to be pedantic about this but this bloke rung up wanting sympathetic therapist and this is the result, tbh i think this thread is very distasteful due to the majorities reaction and very unprofessional!! Hence me putting in my penniesworth.
