hello all geeks
1st i would like to say its been a while (ok a long while but i do pop in now and again) since i posted a thread :eek::eek: havnt done nails for a bit but getting back into now :)
thinking of doing man and ped for the elderly as its been i while i forgot do's and dont's, (what to do about medication and what products are best to use ) ive looked up things in my college work that i did just need advice to make sure am doing it right.

You have to be particularly careful when working with the elderly so a refresher course is a must.
 
have a look at sixtus pedicures. They do a diabetic range as well as regular products. What I love is there thermo aktiv cream which is like deep heat for the feet.

Be careful with clients that have high/low bp or on blood thinning tablets. Dont use anything that can cause nips or cuts such as cuticle nippers, callous knives etc especially if they are diabetic.

Use very moisturising creams, heated booties (but not with clients with pacemakers) and paraffin wax goes down a treat.

Older clientele like very pale colours and frosted pinks etc.
