Hi there geeks,

Wondering if anyone has any feedback on the various mascaras available. I'd prefer to be able to supply one rather than send clients to try and find something and risk getting the wrong thing. It would be good if I could source some at a price that I would be able to make a small profit.

I've been looking at various brands, flirties, nouveau etc and there is quite a price difference between then cheapest and most expensive.

Has anyone tried the cheaper one from Nouveau? Is it any good?

Any feedback on the various options would be great. Also if anyone knows of any of the highstreet mascaras that are suitable, then I can give clients the option.

Thanks, Lou x

Hi Lou, I was in the same boat as your so went with 2 different mascara to see what client feed back was like.
At the moment I have the Noir mascara and the eye liner from Glam Lash and Max 2 Lash Special from Nouveau. But I see they have now brought out a new mascara and have it on special at the moment so have ordered this as well.

I think the really cheap mascara from Nouveau would be good as a free give away but not so sure about retailing it.
Normal mascara doesn't come cheap and most clients have tried loads to get better looking lashes so they are used to the expense.

So far feed back from both has been positive.

Here is a question though...summer hols are coming and the mascara is water based so does this mean going swimming in it would be a no no ??

I sell Lash Perfect Mascara,****

I would not suggest to clients to go swimming with water based mascara, unless they want to look like panda... :)

I'm about to go and have eyelash extensions and they say you don't need mascara? This is one reason I want them so am I wrong in thinking I won't need mascara? I am having glam rather than natural lashes.

Some people don't feel the need to use mascara as there new lashes are longer and fuller than there natural lashes. There for have no need to wear it.

Some clients will wear it to make an even bigger feature of there lashes for night out. Other clients use it when they are due to have there lashes in filled to keep them looking full. xx

hi
you dont need to wear mascara but like the other geeks have said some clients like to wear mascara to pump them up. although some of my clients wear the oil free mascara on the week before they come for infills as this can just plump them up a bit. i too use lash perfect mascara and i sell loads, great value for money. i have a new brand coming tomorrow so called MAX2 lash mascara has anyone else tried these? will let you know what I think.

Hi
I stock Lash Perfect mascara and sell this for £10, some of my clients like to use it on their bottom lashes aswell, and as it's an oil free mascara it doesn't harm the lash extensions. feedback to me clients really like it!

hi all ive used the max 2 and one from secret lashes and since doing Flirties their mascara wins hands down for me not one bit clumpy and gorg on natural lash on lower lashes too :Love:

I started using the Flirties mascara and retailed it at £11.50, but due to the price was not too appealing to my customers.
I now use the cheaper Nouveau mascaras and they are great. I retail them at £5 and my customers don't hesitate to purchase one. I even use it on my natural lashes and love it. Paying more doesn't always pay, iykwim.

Thanks everyone, I've had a look on the lash perfect site and when registering it asks if you're lash perfect trained but I trained with Glam Lash.....Do I need to have trained with Lash Perfect to buy their products?

No you dont but you need to send them a copy of your certificate. I think certain things you can only buy if you are trained by them x

Ah good, that suits me fine...I'll give them a call then, thanks x

I'm confused. Easily done.

I don't know which one to go with. I love the look of the Flirties mascara tube. Nice and shiney, lol.

I agree with Lots of Lashes, people are used to spending £10+ on mascara. I personally wouldn't use a mascara that cost less.

I do like the idea of a free give away but like the idea of making profit from retail more.

Does anyone retail sealant?

Hey
I retail the sealant aswell as mascara, I use lash perfect and blink sealant. I have to admit i prefer the lash perfect one as its more like a gel gloss some can be so runny and my clients dont like the ones that tend to be runny. I have been looking for a new one to try for ages but they are all the same mega runny. Anyone out there in lash land use a sealant that is more of a gel gloss (not lash perfect)???? Thanks Lee-Anne xx

Ah now that's good to know :D
I have been looking at Nouveau cheaper mascara. I just couldn't believe how CHEAP it was and wondered why. x

So its good to know that your clients are happy with it.

Lee-Ann if your looking for a mascara to give away to your clients this would be the one (as it cost you the least) x
