Hi
i sprayed a client today with 10% solution and she seemed to be extra dark than usual, when i came to wash out my cup etc i noticed the metal "thingy" inside the rubber tube in the cup was missing!!??? found it on the floor and had a horrible thought that that would of affected the darkness of the solution, not sure what that metal "thingy" is for,

can anyone help???

many thanks
sam

any ideas?????

Hi Sam

I think you are referring to the seal which is inside the lid of the cup. Its obviously there for a reason - whether it will affect the tan or not - I really don't know.

I think Collin will probably be able to answer that one for you - I've never used my gun without it in so cannot tell you what the outcome might be.

Please ignore my stupidity! Have just re-read your thread and realise you meant the little stopper in the bottom of the tube.

Again,. Collin is your man to answer this one!:)

I think this is the filter to stop the tube picking up anything it shouldnt that could be in your cup. Perhaps it picked up a little too much solution because the filter wasnt there but if thats the case the tan should be fine they were mayeb just sprayed a little wetter so they looked darker xx

I had a look on Google but couldnt find anything.
My guess would be that as well as being a filter just as allie said- it makes the hole at the end of the rubber tube smaller, so that it does not suck up as much solution.
Your clients will just be a shade darker than anticipated :)
xx

Ahh ok got you now...this metal sleeve just slips up inside the flexible pick up hose at the bottom of the hose and does a couple of jobs...acts as a weight to hold the tube down and also reduces the internal diameter of the pick up hose.

Its no problem just slip it back up into the bottom of the pick up hose and job done.

Oh and make sure when/if you have taken the hose right off that you connect it to the right pick-up port...that's the black plastic nipple that is nearest the handle.

HTH
