Hi can anyone out there hel me im quite new to gels and have started using mercia gel. I,m not sure if this requires a bonding layer first? Is there any sculpting gels out there for a three way system that can soak off?

Regards Nicola

I don't use Mercia gels so cannot advise you on the procedure.

I suggest you go back to your trainer and ask hier/him or refer to your cours notes - HTH

I have learnt the gels with essential nails. However they advise use on the 3 in 1 dream gel which is a soak off. Can you recommend any soak off gels please or are the file off better in your experience.?

It isn't a case of buff offs or soak offs being better it is down to what you want from the product, everone on here is likely to have differing views.

I personally use a buff off gel -Creative's Brisa for most of my clients and find it very strong. It is great to apply and stays looking beautiful. I do also use a soak off gel Akzentz Options, but for clients with different needs.

There are many different gels on the market but they all require knowledge and training to apply and you should also have the correct lamp for your system.

If you are trying to apply a product using the method for a different product, I suspect you will almost certainly get problems and would suggest you either stick with the product you have been using or look for further training.

I hope this has helped a bit, have read of this excellent article done by Minkus regarding different gels
