Mercia Products!

What are your opnions on them? ..

I was rushed off my feet in the salon today and my friend begged me to go round after i closed to do her a set before she was going out, however i had only enough products left in the salon for my clients tomorrow (untill i go to get some stock) so i nipped in to sallys and got the mercia mini trial kit, anyway i was doing her nails my usual way (which i never have any problems), when it came to buffing the nails the acrylic just seemed to peel off and it was just like a jelly type thing, its really confused me?!
has anyone else ever used the mercia range and come across the same thing?

Did you use the Mercia Liquid and Mercia Powder?

I used my nail trainer the other night with Mercia natural tips and found that I couldn't get a 'v' shape when blending down the 'well' prior to application. The nails just seemed to go soft and split - even though I was using a 180 at 45 degrees. I was confused too and couldn't see anyhting that I was doing differently to cause it to go wrong!

I didn't have this problem when I was on my course using Salon Systems so wondered if it was the brand mabe? Apparently they're the cheapest (so I've been told). x

Yes I have had that problem as well, and, the similar to you I had forgotten to pack my liquid whilst mobile so popped to my local Sally's nearby and bought small sizes in liquid and powder. Most peculiar, was like rubber! My clients said they would wait until next day to see if it would set but it didn't so I had to return the following day to peel off the Mercia stuff and reapply my usual brand. Had never had this problem before and haven't since.

I bought spare kit in my own brand to put in my mobile bag so I will never forget anything again!!!

This is very strange. I work for Sallys, but I am not representing them on Salongeek.

We have had a few customers come into our store with this problem also, Although I wasn't even aware they do a trial Mercia L + P! We only sell the full size liquid and powder and its now re-formulated and also professional only.

Anyway, since its been re-formulated we havent had as many issues..

May I ask does the packaging have a 'Yellow' band around the top of the label or a 'Pinky/purpley' Colour?
