Micro plane 2in1 foot file?

Just opened my foot file today to test on myself and I'm a little confused with the 2 file heads. I know ones for bi-directional use the other fir multi-directional use but do we use one or the other or both?
I am thinking if we need to use both I think it would be best that I have 2 handles with one of the head on each to save time switching them over has they are a bugger to get off. X

file with the cheese gratery one and buff (use small circular motions) with the hegaonally shaped ones!

haha sorry hope that makes sense. Use both as the gratery one with do the hard work and the buffer just refines the surface xxx
