Microdermabrasion

Hi guys this is my first thread so please be nice :hug:
Before i start i must say i am loving the site! ok...

i have just recently opened my own salon and was thinking about introducing microdermabrasion. one problem is that there is soo many machines out their at all different prices and i am not sure which one to go with.. it would be great if anyone could advise me on which way to go.

I've just bought a Diamond oxyderm machine.
My beautician trained on this machine and used to use it at her old salon.
I decided to try Crystal clear as they had a 2 week free trial.
Her clients preferred the oxyderm so i got that instead.
It is a microdermabrasion machine with oxygen therapy and it's all in one unit. It also has low running costs.
The crystal clear was a lot more expensive and if you wanted oxygen therapy then you had to buy a separate unit.
It was too big, too expensive and the cost per treatment was ridiculous.
The oxyderm costs at least 50% less per treatment.

Hi, I would contact a few companies and see if they will come and give you a demo of their machines

We used Crystal Clear in the salon I used to own, this one had crystal cartridges, I've also heard Diamond Tome is very good machine/treatment . x

Thank you so much for your feedback... one problem though.. i have heard of diamond before as my friend had purchased a pink diamond + oxy ?? the machine was good but she told me the company are not reliable and dont even have any office of any description. this is important to have back up from a good company. thank you for this angela and hope it does not happen to you :hug:
i think i will contact several different companies and try before i buy .

Diamond has just been taken over by new people and they are very good.
My machine is in for a service at the moment and they have rung me almost daily to keep me informed of what is going on.
I have spoke to them a few times and they are most helpful.
They have literally only taken over in the last 4 weeks and their customer service is fab.

Hi there, i'm new to salon geek too, try skin focal and their range i had most of the companies out and these impressed me most of all and that's a very hard thing to do. We've now had their system which is both crystals and diamond tips for a month and our clients love it. The training is fantastic and its given my salon a real buzz. Big, big tumbs up from me.

Just make sure you get a good deal.
If you get the oxyderm machine from Diamond you get microdermabrasion and oxygen therapy in the same machine and it costs less than just the microdermabrasion machine from other companies.
It takes crystals and organic grains and you can have added handpieces to suit your business.
After looking at other companies i was amazed at the high running costs! The oxyderm has low running costs.
In my salon, we offer microdermabrasion on it's own, oxygen therapy on it's own or the 2 combined.
To get the full benefit it really is best to have the 2 together.
I was amazed at the results after just one treatment so if you can have a trial on a machine first then i suggest you do that to make sure you get the results that you want

Just looking at microdermabrasion too, saw one that looks brill at the G Mex show - Diamond Touch. Great little machine, I liked it because it's british made and the back up looks really good. Am going to ask for a demo their number is 0844 5555880.

I was wondering if there is anyone local to me (Swindon area) who has this machine so I could have a treatment to try it out. As this company are based in Glasgow they are able to do a demonstration this side of Xmas and would not come especially if I decide not to purchase the machine. I have also looked at skin focal who seem very good but as it such a large investment want to get it right, especially in this current climate. Any comments on other companies would be greatfully received.

Hi there, I was hearing great things about diamond since they had been taken over as they used to be very unreliable and unprofessional. Unfortunately things seem to no have changed as I have not received any of the information which I required or a telephone call back?? I am disappointed as it has been almost 2weeks and I have already called for a third time.... maybe it’s just my luck... anyway I am currently looking into a company called skin reveal. Microdermabrasion... Oxygen Therapy... Organic grains.... led light... amazing price... all sounds too good to be true.
Fingers crossed the company is as good as the machine sounds as that I really important to me.

Our salon has been doing micro for 10 years.
We had a micro-dermabrasion machine that used crystal and organic. I must say at the time our clients loved it and we thought the results were great.
However, we found that the outgoings for consumables were getting out of hand. The crystals weill erode your screwheads that release the crystals into the nossel (hope that makes sense!) and you are continually buying crystal.
We changed to a Diamond Tome which has the diamond tip heads and these are fantastic!
I did one side of my friends face with my machine as I soooo thought the new machine was a gimmic, and then the rep did the other side with Diamond Tome.
Just no comparison.
Best of luck with searching but definately go with a company that has great customer and salon support.

I have been using the Nembrasion by Demelic, i prefer the cyrstals to the Diamond Peel. The company have been fantastic with back up and ongoing help and advice.

Hi there, sorry for a late reply... I have had a long (well deserved) holiday over the Christmas period. Business as usual now!

I found Skin Reveal at a very early stage of progression. They sent me out a sample machine (microdermabrasion, oxygen, + LED) for a 10 day trial.

I loved the machine, marketing the provide is very varied and they also give you a business plan and a price even I could afford

unfortunately I have to wait 3-4 weeks on manufacturing due to the fact i discovered them so early on.

they have a website which they let me on to find out a little more but it is not live yet.(looks fab) they have been distributing all different machines for years but decided to manufacture their own.

Hey Jenna,

I personally like the Naturalaser Diamond Peel system. They are really proffesional and the machine is fab. I saw them in habia and called them up and Iv never looked back since.
