Hi all, I was wandering if someone cud help, my friend triend with a company in liverpool called millenium nails, and I done mine with CND, and you know the way you always get the 'well cnd is just a brand and is as good as the next blah blah'. Well she has been looking at all my minxs and going ohh there nice,, I will have to get some of them from millenium she said????? well I informed her that only CND are allowed to stock them, she replied that millenium have a lady come in and train and sells them??? I said well only cnd can train and she said yes she is from CND, but there is only 2 educators on merseyside julia whom is now manchester and katie whom is in st helens and off on mat leave........

Can millenium legaly do this??? Also she said they give certificates,, and also sell loads of CND stock

sorry to waffle just a bit puzzled, also can you be trained with millenium have poor training then do a minx training with cnd, and then be able to purchase cnd products, with out being cnd, properley trained in L&P and proper prep, which I have had my nails done by my friend before and tbh millenium have taught a very minimal prep technique, i.e no cuticle was removed or nail bed de hydrated and little idea of what an epinchium is???

Thanks Geeks xx

Minx isn't anything to do with CND...its a brand of its own and is distributed by Sweet Squared (and a few other sub distributors) who also distribute CND...but in as such as Millennium being able to distribute CND and Minx then No i don't think this is allowed.

Yes I knew this, that's why I was wanderingf if S2 were the only authorised stockist? my question really is, if you dont have a CND cert, can you buy minx,,, if so what is the point of making it exlusive, iygwim. xx

I'm afraid I'm a total newbie to the industry so can't answer your question but I too thought (from reading through threads on here) that S2 were the only distributer in the UK until I saw Minx on the Ellisons site??
Ellisons=

I understand however that as long as you have an accredited qualification that you can reguster with S2 to buy Minx and some other CND products (natural nail), I could however be completely wrong! As for the distribution, I'm sure someone else will clarify.

well I informed her that only CND are allowed to stock them, ........ then do a minx training with cnd,

You don't need a CND cert to buy Minx...This is why i explained about CND not being to do with MINX...CND don't do Minx training or stock Minx....Its Sweet Squared that stock and do training for both these brands.

Ellisons are allowed to sell CND....not too sure if its because Sweet Squared distribute to them or because they are a registered sub distributor themselves....there are few that are.

Your right Lou about the second para :) its only the Brisa and L&P that cant be purchased unless you have had the training....everything else can be.

Sweetsquared are the UK distributors for Minx!

Sweetsquared have a few Sub-Distributors who legally and officially distribute and train on their behalf (for all of their products including Minx and CND).

These 'Subs' are The Fingertips Centre in Edinburgh servicing Scotland, the London CND Academy, The Bournemouth Academy +, the new Manchester Academy+ and also Ellisons by mail order.

Minx training is available free at all of these centres.

You have to be properly trained and qualified to at least basic manicure college level standard in order to purchase and/or attend these free training sessions.

Thanks Fiona........I knew there were other Sub-Distributors but couldn't remember what they were called and where they were...

Hi I was just reading through the thread there and theres a website that isn't S2 but sells CND products - L&P and Gel - Should they be able to do that?

No ... they are selling illegal stock. They are not authorised distributors of S2 and purchase from ebay for all I know or other naughty people who are illegally obtaining the product from goodness knows where.

Stick with the main CND authorised legal suppliers of CND products .. then you know what you are getting and where it is coming from and most of all you have support when you need it.

Do not become one of the cheeky ones who buy off ebay and then ring S2 for help and support and CND images etc ... Sweet Squared will not lend any support at all to those who do not buy legal CND products from their authorised distributors.

i sugest katie that you get all your facts right before slagging off any local salons!!!!i'm sure you were taught as part of your training that it isn't professional to slag the competiton. i am the owner of MILLENNIUM NAILS in maghull where your friend trained and i can assure you that she was taught thorough prep and application of GLITZ and trendy nail wraps.her kit will of had solar oil, scrubfresh, cuticle pusher koala and kanga in it, if she chooses to not follow proceedure after completing the course that is down to her. do you know what eponychium is ? as you don't seem to be able to spell it!!as you are questioning my training maybe somebody should tell you that i have been a nail tec for 17 years a cnd master for 11 of those. i am an educator for 4 top nail companys and never claim to be something that i am not. i have taught nails and beauty for 10 years now and was using cnd products long before most in liverpool had ever heard of them.
Are you aware that minx is not a cnd product? they just sell it. minx is an american company that supply s2.there are also at least 5 other brands available that are just the same as minx.it won't be long before every nail company have thier own versions.
The wholesale products i sell are completely legal and above board which is more than can be said for your slanderous quotes. as you seem to have such an issue with my salon and training school it might be a good idea to come and meet me and for us to have a discussion about your misconceptions ! feel free to call me any time at MILLENNIUM NAILS

Wow Justine, way to bump up a thread almost a year old.

And while there are a few knock offs of Minx out there - there is only 1 real Minx.
I do hope you aren't selling any CND again as they got pretty up in arms last they heard.

BTW: I've edited your post to remove your Number. If anyone really needs it - I have it :D

I was not slagging anyone off firstly,,and secondly I was asking if millenium were authorised to stock minx, or any CND products, which I assume you are??? as you say kit contains koala, kanga, etc. I am doing my masters with cnd and get my stock of s2 im sorry I was not aware of you being AUTHORISED to sell CND or MINX

Don't sweat it Katie - they aren't authorised to sell or train in Minx or CND (though they wouldn't like people to know that).

Sorry where was I being slanderous in any way, I was asking not stating, diffrent thing completley.

You have just stated in a post you supply minx, kanga, koala, solar oil have you not, to which the geek replied no you are not an educator or an official stockist, so im sure thats defamation:!::!:

. do you know what eponychium is ? as you don't seem to be able to spell it! as minx.

why Do people have to get personal? Discuss disagree but why get personal? It bugs me sooo much!

What dose katie's spelling have to do with minx?
Or is it what they call "projection" ? You are in the wrong but try to make her look bad? (that would defenitly Not be a quallity I would look for in a teacher )

Alot of us can't spell dosent mean we don't know what we are talking about , & it couldn't have been that bad as you knew what she ment right?

When people do get personal About spelling you could at least use a capital letter at the start !
And maybe let it go when the post is almost a year old .
