Hi

we have just received delivery of Minx nails and we are loving them, however they seem very wasteful, do you guys cut each one in half so each one does 2 toes? they seem very long and therefore very wasteful, i appriciate you cant do this with all patterns, if you do cut them do you do this before heating them?

thanks

Hiya,

I cut them if I can, usually I put them on in full, cut them, then use that bit again on the same toe on the other foot.

xx

I cut them while they're still on the backing, that way there's no chance of putting my fingers on the sticky bit!

I do the same as Vetty, especially for sizes 9-3, I can get a few nails out of one strip :)

I cut them while they are sitll on the backing.
It's also easier to 'shape' the end that's been cut when it's on the backing too.
I can't keep up with them these days !!!!! :wink2:

I peel them off the backing with pointed tweezers, place them on the nail with the tweezers and cut off th excess before pushing it down over the free edge. That way I can do 5 sets of toes with 2 sheets.

I cut on the backing sheet too and get about 5 sets of toes from 2 sheets.

I too cut whilst on backing and can usually get apprx 3 sets out of one sheet, I also twist and turn the minx as in I dont always put it in the way it should, Ie the curved bit towards the epinichium I twist horizontaly that way I can cut and get 3, 4 little toes out ouf one minx veneer (no1s or 2s) and only when pattern allows. ;);)
