Minx lamp - mobile

Does anyone use their Minx lamp for mobile work? What do you carry it in?

I've been carrying it in the box it came in, but it's not very practical, especially if you're doing another treatment at the same appointment.

i have been doing the same and the box is getting tatty now so looking for a recommended holdall i asked the same question but no one answered, so will be watching this thread x

Thanks. I was thinking something like a tent bag(is there such a thing?) something kind of long but narrow so it's not going all over the place. Something that keeps it folded. Like a whirly-gig cover but with a carry strap, lol. Not making muh sense am I?

You ARE making sense..well to me you are, thats exactly what i was thinking it would have to be like, but padded in some way to protect...there must be something hey?

I'm thinking of trying one of the carry bags you get the folding camping chairs in Gelert Kingston Camping Chair | GO Outdoors
they're not padded but the right kind of shape and size...and the supermarkets usually have them for a fiver but I bet most of us have got one of these knocking about in the garage!

Hey, yeh. My sister has a couple of these. Except they are children's chairs I bought for my niece. Could try with a towel around them. Going to sneak about her grage at the weekend, lol.

We are looking at a smaller lamp for the mobile teks although I know that doesnt help you right now. The problem is they have to be designed, tested, made etc and it doesnt take 5 minutes. Will keep you all posted.

I have a wonderful bag for my mag light which is padded maybe do a search on the daylight company website and see if they do other bags,one of them might be suitable.HTH

Just had a look on the daylight company website. The bag they have would be ideal but too small. I've sent them an emai asking if they know of anything. Will report back if I hear from them.

I also use the box, and is quite bulky.

I have a big White laundry bag from ikea for my table which is fab, I believe they do come in all different sizes from quite small to very large may be worth a look when next in there . There is no padding but like u say wrap in a towel you will need them anyway. They look not bad. X

i know its a silly idea but a kids ski bag!! there usally padded n about 150cm long with bits to make the sorter!!!!! x

Great idea. I just bought a pink one for £9.99. Looks big enough that I'd fit some towels in too. Possibly even my pedi bowl. Will report back when it arrives.

Just a thought, could the padding be that bubble wrap with the big bubbles, at least it won't weigh much. Not sure the dimensions of Minx lamp, what size would it need to be?

The Minx lamp has a very big head and a long folding arm. Not sure of the exact measurements.

Daylight Company emailed me back. They don't have any carry bag.

I think the Christmas tree bag I ordered will do. It's probably about the same size as the box. The box is awkward for carrying. At least the bag has handles. I'll let you all know when I get it.

I got my Christmas tree bag. It's a bit big, lol. Pic is a bit big too. Sorry.

It's got 2 zips that meet in the middle so it doesn't have to unzip all the way. I think I could fold the sides in and pin or sew them so that it's a more manageable size. Also it's quite tall, so I might just put the box in the bag. The lamp will still be protected and I'll still be able to carry other stuff like towels and pedi bowl.
