Hey there

I am going to start offering Minx and have just (with the help of hubby) Minxed my toes. There are a few questions i now have...

Toe nails can be funny shapes, and have discovered that the product does not always completely cover the nail. Do you think i picked the wrong size, or can you gently push the product to where you want it to fill, within reason!?

Also i started with the silver and black fishnet design, do you think that mirrored designs are harder as they show every bump etc. Not yet used any other design , so not sure if its easier with non mirrored designs.

One more thing, if a client has ridges in the nails, this is going to show on the product. Would you say that this is life and there is nothing you can do?

So many questions, but would love your advise.

Very excited to have minxed feet!!:)

I don't use Minx myself (yet ) but maybe you could try putting a ridge filler polish on the nail first? x

i wouldnt advise a ridge filler as this would not help the Minx stick to the nail plate, if the ridge is very bad i would use acrylic to cover the nail and smooth out the ridge, i do this on small toes sometimes if the Minx does not stick well.

Firstly congrats on your first Minx, you will be addicted. I would say the silver and gold plain patterns are hardest to apply. Toes are easier than fingers. You can cut minx to size also. I find if my client has uneven sidewalls, or funny shaped nail beds lol, I some times need to use bigger size and cut it ot use 2 minx and sort of overlay, but not often needed. I tend to like fingernail minx more than toe ones as the curve is better ( on the bottom) also most my client have small toes so suit finger minx more.

I found during the summer, MInx went crazy, but lately very quiet, hopefully pick back up over xmas, I have had few pre bookings for xmas mainley the silver gold and ruby red lightening,,,,mmmmm fab for partys.

As for ridges, minx does not go well with these, I wouldn recommend a base coat, if client really wanted minx would inform there natural nails would not maybe best for minx however you could do them but they may not look as good, or as prev poster said thin layer of acrylic ontop finished with 180 grit file for minx to adhere to would do the trick, but thin.
