Hi guys! I was just wondering if those who offers minx nails in their services found its a good seller? Im nervous about taking the training and investing in the products and for it not to do well, and be out money! I see alot of you on here use them, and im obviously interested in adding them to my price list.. But no one over here in my town in Northern Ireland seem to do them, and they arnt well known by the public, any info would be so appreciated  Thanks.. Christine

Hi Christine
I think you should have Minx
It is especially brilliant on toes so if you have it for the summer your clients will thank you.
It is quite difficult to explain what it is but if you wear it and show it off people will say wow whats that.
Its in so many magazines at the moment as well which helps to keep you on the cutting edge.
Why don't you order a trial pack and have a play??? watch the on line demo and have a go test it on your mates.

Hi
I started to offer minx in November I didn't do the training as you don't have to,,,,,I went to a demonstration and felt confidence just to buy the kit and i did my nails and toes and it was great. There is alot of salons in my area doing minx,,,I haven't done an awful lot. In December I sent out a newsletter about the new treatments I was offering and clients have started to ask me about the minx,,,,I believe that come the summer m,inx is going to be really popular as it's great for toes and at the moment noone is interested in there toes and from the feed back I'm getting from clients there want them when the weather gets better,,,,,,I personally wouldn't rush out right now and invest in minx but i would recommend having them before April when the warmer weather is here.

minx is wicked ... i am new to it myself . i dont think it sells itself. you have to be a wearer for it to sell. i had mine on my toes for 7 weeks. (i wouldnt normally leave it this long) but wanted to see how it would last.

celebrities are a big fan like, lady gaga, beyonce, alexandra burke wears the gold in her new vid.

it is so much easier that polishing. i also think with minx it has to go on a good nail with plenty of free edge so u can tuck the minx under the free edge when applying, i think its one of those products that its going to work by word of mouth and for us all to be wearing.

I love it!

I absolutely agree, unless a client sees them on, they would be skeptical about how well they would look on!

i have just ordered the black with silver flames minx. i cant wait to put them on!!!

Just to add... of course by wearing them, will help help sell Minx. You are not going to sell them by simply showing them a sheet.

As Minx isn't difficult to apply, we have never stressed that training was necessary - I mean if you can create a nail enhancement with L&P you can apply MINX!!!

I will speak with Christine tomorrow.

We are still doing loads of Minx in the salon and it is winter!!

Minx isn't all about designs it is also available in colours like polish and what better than a pedicure plus a Minx veneer and the client can walk out the door with colour that is totally dry and that will not chip or wear for 4-5 weeks??? If clients know they can do that more would book pedicures in the winter too.

I don't know how any serious nail business can NOT afford to be offering the Minx service.

I'm sure Eire is not so behind the times that people do not know about Minx ... but if they don't there is plenty of PR on the Minx site for you to print off and have around the salon to inform them.

It is not a heavy investment to offer Minx veneers to your customers. 4-5 services and you have repaid yourself. If you invested 150.00 in a range of polishes it would take you months to repay yourself!!!

I have to say minx doesn't seem to be in demand in my area but I keep pluggin it!!

Its had a bit of a lukewarm reception in my salon. We really have plugged it.

I just started practicing Minx at my salon. Once you get used to applying them, they are quick and easy to do. You can double the price of your regular manicure and pedicure just by adding Minx to the service. They pretty much pay for themselves.
I think you would be able to market pedicures in the Winter more with Minx, because people don't have to sit and dry or wear flip flops.
I use Facebook and Twitter to promote them. Wearing them yourself helps. I am also planning on having a digital picture frame next to my station showcasing the Minx that I have done on other clients. That way people can see the different designs.
I think it was well worth the investment.

Minx is MASSIVE in our salon. Clients really love it. What we also find is that if a client walks in on someone else having Minx they change their treatment or rebook for minx. Every salon should at least offer the basics like gold and silver I believe.... It is definitely worth it, the wholesale price is very reasonable and despite copies like Blinx and TNC, Minx are the best....

hi all,can anyone pm me the price of the minx starter kit if possible cant see any prices on the website. thank you

Hi, I put minx on colour pops in a little stand by the nails station and they look stunning like that, then the client can see what they actually look like on a nail, together with the little catalogue for the other designs.
( Actually I superglued the colour pops in to the stand so i can travel with them also!)

I just use a left over minx to create a collection of different designs. I do wear them on my hands with shellac over the top and then everbody talks to me about them.

Even now whilst I'm in the salon I wear fit flops with minx on my toes and again everyone notices them.
Jeez I sound like an attention freak but its business!!
xx

I have been doing minx for about 18 months and it's fantastic product winter spring summer albeit summer is alot more popular as people want new pattern every 3 weeks.

What you waiting for,, you don't have to spend mega amounts watch tutorials ask questions , practise practise, intro price say £15. Go get minxing in time for summer wow if no one else is doing them you will be mega popular. Get a few patterns you should already have prep products a pair of curved scissors a minx glass file and rubber hoof is all you need If funds are low you can use your desk lamp untill you can afford minx lamp (not entirely necessary , but looks good )

What ya waiting for,, get minxing :)

My clients love minx!! I have a few regular clients for the hands but mainly it's people going to parties etc!! The feet are really popular as they last so long I can't wait for the summer to come so I can get all my clients toes looking lush!!

I pushed them by holding minx parties where if a client got 4+ friends they got a discount, this introduced so many new faces!! I'm in guernsey and there are only a few of us doing it, a lot of people here hadn't heard of them but now love them and my cousin and I are really busy!! (i'm mobile, but u could invite regular clients to a minx evening in the salon)

Hi cani get your contact details? I really want minx nails for my honeymoon and i live on the island. Thanks very much

I've recently been trained in Minx & think they're amazing! Been really popular on the toes, fingers look lovely aswell but they're not lasting long? Don't know if anybody has any advice on that..
Well worth getting the proper training & the finished look is worth every penny :) x

I was considering bringing in Minx nails as well, is it very hard to master?

Also, is the heat lamp very big and is it easy to move? As my treatment room isn't massive, I would probably store it somewhere until I was using it!! Xx

Hi
I'm very much a beginner, I run the beauty floor of a very high end department store but have had no formal beauty training myself, so I was hoping to pick your brains a little!!
Our nail bar offers minx but having had it done 3 days ago they are already looking a little scruffy and seem to have shrunk away from the tips of my nails, the girl applied them then put soft gel on top, the gel seemed to peel a little, they were applied on to my natural nails...what went wrong??they're definitely not going to last a week! Another friend said she'd had minx applied and seemed to think they'd put hard gel over the top,is that possible? should minx last up to two weeks when applied to the natural nail as my internet research seems to suggest or is this over hopeful?? My nail bar is telling people about 4days for fingers compared to a lot longer for toes...just makes it seem expensive for that length of time!
Thanks
