good morning fellow geeks i have just placed my first minx order and i am soooooo excited:lol: i tried to order the lamp that you need but they are not available till next week in the meantime is it ok to use my hairdryer...also does anyone have any handy hits and tips on applying them....i got a bit carried away was only going to order one and ended up ordering gold/silver and pink cheeta plus for the toes too.....id better get back to work quick:lol: xxx

thanks have made my decision but will charge a bit less at first as intro offer while i practice..:idea: cant wait to try these i dont have lot of natural nail clients but i think enhancement clients might want possibly ring fingers done as a nail art extra.......the only thing that concerns me,is if i promote this and get bookings i cant possibly afford to carry all the colurs available at the moment i have all colur polishes on colour pops so how would it work for minx

Mine arrived this morning! I only ordered them yesterday (superfast delivery!)

It is true! they are even better in the flesh. I ordered the gold and silver lightening and the pink cheeta. I can't pick a favourite. I've been invited to a wedding on 26th Sep so I hope to wear mine then (silver lightening).

Up until now, I haven't used popits, I hadn't personally felt the need. However I was thinking just this last night.

Now I am happy with my enhancements and the shape/form/surface but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you apply Minx (esp the gold/silver lightening) to an enhanced nail and the surface isn't perfect it is going to bug the hell outta you when the line of light wobbles so much more than it would normally as they are SO shiny. So I am wondering, when using Minx over enhancements if Popits might be the way to go.........:idea:

thats an interesting point..personally i will not be puttin them over enhancements because all of my clients are fortnightly so therefore i think its an expensive way of using colour although i do think its great if your going on holiday as polish wears away in pool/sea etc.

Silver and gold WILL show up every imperfection in your work or even on natural nails .... But the patterned Minx will not. So go for patterns if you are not perfect or over PopIts (which are) if you want to use the mirror gold and silver.

There are loads of Red Minx designs; some with small silver or gold hearts some with gold or silver sripes and many themed ones for Xmas. Too many to list.

I did so many Minx last week, I have no idea which one I used while you were there Jenny ... It may have been the gold with the crackle glaze? Can't remember. sorry.

Don't know, but I can tell you they work just the same over well prepared natural nails as they do over enhancements.
