Mobile beautician- Waxing

Hello everyone,
I just discovered this website yesterday and I'm already a big fan of it.
I'm brazilian but I live in England. In Brazil I used to work for many years with waxing. Now, I wish to start working with it again and I'm thinking about doing a course so I can gain the right qualification for the country.
The problem is that I'm not familiar with the market for Mobile Waxing Beautician in England and my husband keeps saying that it will be hard for me to get new clients here because I don't know many people yet.
Do you guys think that it is easy to find clients through advertisement?
What are the best options to adv? Newspaper, leaflet??
Please, help me to clarify this.

I'm not mobile but i do find the best response i get is from leaflet drops. I've had a few ads in my local paper and to be honest i don't get that much of a response, and it's incredibly expensive!
I would get yourself on as many free websites as you can. Take leaflets/posters to your local gyms, hairdressers, health food shops and as many shops as you can.
My local Sallys took a load of my business cards and leaflets to put on their counter and boots will put my leaflets in customers bags.
Maybe offer a free treatment to some places in exchange for them handing some leaflets out, that way they can tell people how good the service is.
