Morning everyone,

Hope you all had a very busy and exciting Xmas & New Year, lets hope 2009 will be good to us all!!

Can anyone give me the name of a good mobile equiptment supplier? I have put a lot of thought into my first year in my new career and made the choice of going mobile.

I know the first few months are going to be very hard and I will need to carry out lots of marketing, but I think the rewards will be second to non once my business has built up.

Any advise on suppliers and how not to get your fingers burnt would be very welcome.

Thanks my trusted friends.....:green:

What sort of equipment are you looking for?

I can't be without my CND bucket bag for implements and I use tupperware (?) boxes for products of differing types eg. powders, gels. For mani and pedi I use a metal box (beauty boxes) I got from one of the shows which has loads of room underneath for enamels and product and also a tray which I use for my most popular colours. HTH :)

Hi

I am assuming you are doing nails, (mani, pedi, acrylic etc) maybe facials, waxing?

You will need a fold up stool for yourself, fold up table, decent bag/case to keep your products tools in etc.

Go to your local supplier (Pinks, AKS, Sallys etc) for your bag/case - you can see what sizes they have and what you will personally require. For your table, look at the army camping store shops - they have some great lightweight foldable tables starting at very low prices. I got mine from Woollies but this is no longer an option!

Depending on when you are thinking of starting, you could try the trade beauty shows - there are a couple coming up in March/April at London and Birmingham. You could grab things like daylight lamp, soak off bowls etc from there as they are usually vat free at the shows.

Anything else depends on what exactly you are going to be offering. Don't buy too much in the way of stock - if you're anything like me I want stuff although i don't necessarily need it! Keep your head on and don't buy with your heart!

Good luck with your business!

Hi,

Im also thinking on the same lines as you!
I want to become a Mobile Technician, but finding it difficult as to what equipment i need, insurance, products etc.
