Mobile nail table - is this suitable??

Hiya im looking for a mobile nail table something which isn't too heavy but still professional looking and was wondering if this would be suitable?

I have a little camping table already but don't want to use that as its too small!

Any other suggestions welcome. Many thanks

we had this question before and opinion was divided.

i personally think its a great option.
once you get organised it works very well, you have to get used to where you have put things in the drawers so you can lay your hands on them during the treatment. the seats are pretty comfortable.

so in my opinion, yes it is very suitable.

I personally dont think its big enough, but that just me as I like room to move around... It also looks like a bit of pressure and it would fall at your feet... hth x

I didn't buy this one in the end instead i found a lovely white table with chrome folding legs, drawer underneath and white arm rest and comes with a carry bag and it only weighs 6kg!

I'm not a fan of this table (the one in the OP's pic) for the following reasons:

1) Too heavy and difficult to move around

2) Not good for correct posture and ergonomics - bending over and twisting to get supplies from the drawers isn't good for your back!

3) A chance of the table tipping over (depending on the angle of the tray table, and what is sitting on it at the time) when you stand up

4) The table is too small to work off of.


I think the plain table as described by one of the previous posters works well - it's lighter, easier to move and store, and has a bigger work area. The last thing you want if you work mobile is a back injury from lugging around a whopping huge table!

Sorry - just saw that you chose something else! This is the one I was talking about that I have - good choice!

I've found that the white arm rest has languished in a drawer for almost two years, and I took the tray off because I couldn't fold the table up if it was in place, but the table itself is great. Another modification that I did was to take the wheels off. Most of my clients have wooden floors and the table often took to scooting around on it's own. One of the casters came off recently, and as I'd left it in the car I just took the other three off so I could work without delay. I liked it much better!!

Yep - that's the one I have

One word of warning regarding it, though - it doesn't have very reliable braces to lock the table into place, and the stupid thing has collapsed on me on more than one occasion. You can make something yourself, or use something like a roll of kitchen roll to keep the brackets from folding up on themselves. Except for that, it's a great table, but please be aware this could happen! (especially if a client hits it with their knee or something).

Once, when it collapsed, a NEW bottle of Orly Bonder shattered on the wooden floor of a client's house - I absolutely flew trying to clean it up before it set!

The only problem I feel you have to watch with these sort of tables is wether they have lockable wheels,if they dont you could find your table moving around when your filing on a kitchen floor.

This what I use , a camping table. I brought it £20 from Robert Dyas.Its a bit long , but then I find it handy as I can have all my gear to hand beside me and dont have to worry about putting bags/cases etc on clients carpets.

Yes i did and it came today and its fabby! :green:
It has lockable wheels but as said before, the locks are not that strong so would prob move about with a bit of force. (or maybe its because the table is so lightweight it's just shifting itself about with a bit of pressure?) But it is possible to remove the castors without it looking naff.
It also came with it own bag which is real handy!

I've got hte white and chrome but have had the legs collapse once
