Mobile Nail Tech got offer to work in salon

Hi all

I am a mobile nail tech and have a meeting with a beauty salon owner tomorrow to see about hours for me to work in her salon. I am so excited as this is what I have been working towards, however I am a bit scared at the prospect.

What if I am not good enough, they already do manicure and pedicures so want someone to do enhancements etc (minx and shellac would go down a treat). I can only do a saturday at the moment and want this so much but have yet to complete my gel course at the end of this month.

I do acrylic, minx and shellac just now. I don't know what to say or where to start to try and sell myself. Am I shooting myself in the foot too soon.

Anyone else progressed from mobile to salon work?

I progressed from cleaner to salon work! And i hadn't done a set in 2 months before going into a salon apart from the 1 week i got to know about the position befoehand so i practiced like mad.
Honestly you are just working yourself up hun. Its just nerves, i was the same and when it came to doing a trade test i was shaking like a leaf because the trade test was on a cnd master technician. I felt i mucked up because i forgot to wash off the cuticle away and didn't realize this until i left the salon, i was sure they would just ping off and wouldn't be back in touch because i was such a nervous wreck and i thought the monstrosity's i produced were just awful! One week later they were back intouch and i got the job. 9 months later i have chosen to move on and found myself another position which includes my very own room and i move in on monday which i am really looking forward to.
If and when you ever get the chance and you want it so badly, you have to grab it! Be confidant hun and good luck. x
