Mobile Spray Tan Geeks - how busy?

Hi Ladies

I do mobile spray tanning in the evening and weekends and can't believe how quiet things have been. I just wondered whether this was just me or is anyone else finding it really quiet? The impression I am getting is that people can't afford it so close to Christmas...

Would love to know how everyone else is doing.

Its quiet normal for things to quieten down at this time of year when people are busy spending their hard earned cash on pressies for the family,drink for the drinks cabinet and stocking up on food shopping for the Christmas festivities....buying that sexy new black dress for the firms company do all help to keep them focused on spending else where.

As normal we will start to see the sector pick up shortly once the focus starts to shift to Christmas and new year party time when we will all get busy again right the way up to new years eve :hug:

I think maybe people have been holding back but im sure it will start to pick up soon.
You could advertise an offer such as spray tanning partys where the host gets theirs free.

I am hoping that people are leaving it to the last minute as I have hardly any bookings between Christmas and New Year.... And then I am assuming it will be flat for the first three months of the new year....

I will have to get my marketing head on!!

I have had quite a few calls the past few days for bookings for xmas partys I have 4 in this eve anhd next week tooo many on the friday, (hate refusing work esp when only takes 10mins to do ) I think people do tend to leave booking tans till last min though, but should be picking up next week xxx

I do have a few nights over the next ten days where I am full up but I thought it was going to be the busiest time and I suppose that I'm not used to not being very busy. You start to wonder whether your clients are going elsewhere but hopefully not!

I think I expected to be really busy as well, with christmas coming up as everyone was saying on here that we would be.
I have been busier than normal this week (almost double) because of christmas parties this weekend, but not got much in for next week yet. Hoping they will start calling soon . I haven't advertised as much as I should have. Only on Gumtree, where people are offering tans for silly money so obviously not going to get much custom from there as I am not reducing my prices for Dec.
Got quite a few in for the christmas week, and new year but not many yet.
Same as you though, I'm not as busy as I expected to be for this time of year.
Think I may get my christmas cards posted to remind people I am still here

I have been quiet on the Tans aswell so you are not alone just keep plodding on things will pick up one day

I couldn't be busier when it comes to spray tans atm, there aren't enough hours in the day! especially the few days before New years eve i've been booked up since oct/nov for that week.

I suppose everyone is different and different areas etc

That's really good, I'm glad to see that some of us are doing well. Let's hope it picks up for all of us!

We have been mental busy!! dawn still does tanning from home and its been 3 a night at least for a couple of weeks !
we have a salon in the city centre (birmingham B1) that got through 5 litres last week !! that is 100 tans minimum and its not a discounted salon,I delivered another 5 litres this morning as they were totally out,
One of our staffordshire/cheshire girls did 58 mobile tans last week,and most of our existing customers have ordered in December :lol:
