Hello
This is my first post on Salon Geek. I'm considering starting a mobile spray tanning business in Oslo, where I am based.
I'm just in the process of looking into it all now and would love to hear from anyone who may be able to give any advice or give me some pointers. I'd be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has taken their spray tanning business abroad or who is working in the industry in Norway. :)
Thanks

Hey Jummy,

historically spray tanning in Norway has never been that big however we have seen a dramatic increase in activity within this region and it seems that the word is spreading and there are indeed now a number of salons operating successfully.

A mobile spray tan business will work well as overhead costs would be minimal compared to the higher operating costs of salon premises...of course your only problem is getting about in the winter month so maybe a snow bike thing would be needed:eek:

There are a few brands already in Norway and we have just appointed a distributor to cover this growing market.
HTH

Go for it!!! I do very well out the norweigans. every time I go there I end up doing loads of tans, and selling half the clothes and shoes I pack!

My brothers get me sending stuff out their for their girlfriends all the time and they live in Trondheim and Tromso.

Its taking off and nows the time to get cracking!! Oslo is probably a very good place to start with it being a major city, where as it is a probably a little slower in other areas.

You Norweigans like to be dark though, and this is a perfect way to achieve it without damaging the skin.

Let us know how you get on as I may just pop in for a tan when I am there next!!

Thanks for your reply Colin. Please could you give me the contact details for your distributer in Norway so I can get in touch :)
