Mobile spray tanning - mileage charge?

Hi mobile spray tanners

Just wanted to check with you how far you travel to spray tan before charging extra for mileage? Just need to get an idea how the rest of you operate this....

The distance I cover is roughly 15miles from where I live in all directions.
If I am asked to travel further which is rare, I require 2 people to tan, or if further still a minimum of 3 people.
I dont find that people ring up to book from that far away though, as there would be someone near them that would do it anyway.

Hi, I normally only travel an 8 mile radius from where I live as more than that takes more than 15-20 mins. I charge mileage at 40p per mile over that. I am always gobsmacked when people say yes but so long as you are upfront about it then it's fine. Obviously if I have a big booking -say a spray tanning party then that's different and I would drop the mileage charge.

Hi i was wondering about this aswell,
If you go to Google maps and get directions from your address to your clients address then it tells you how much your petrol would be.
Doing it this way lets you show how you calculate petrol costs to clients incase anyone queiries it.
However i only charge petrol cost to clients who live outside of my surrounding towns.
