my clients says she always goes patchy after 2 days of her spray tan (using tan tricks), I asked her if she was moistrising she said she is using Johnsons baby lotion. I have had no other problems with other clients only when the tan has been on about a week. Do you think it might be the baby lotion she is using?

Could be, but it's also likely she hasn't exfoliated properly leading up to the tan. Why not retail her an exfoliator and compatible moisturiser?

i have, i have given her an exfoliating glove and a bottle of moisturiser last time i tan her, but she always uses her baby lotion. I told her if she has the same problem its due to her not exfoliating properly but she says the moisturiser strips her tan. I can't see how.

It sounds very odd that she still uses it if it strips the tan, that's just crazy and there's nothing you can do about it!! It would be more likely her body wash is stripping it, does it have high levels of sodium lauryl sulphate? or is she using the exfoliating glove the day after the tan.

i told her just use water for her tan and only exfoliate when it starts to fade in places and not others. Do you think its the tan that doesn't suit her skin?

I think if she suffers from very dry peeling skin in general then she may not be able to have any tan until she gets it under control. If other people are fine with it then it's more likely that it's just something to do with her skin. There are tans however that hydrate the skin and one of these may be work. I use "Vanity" and it seems to last really well and fade nicely. I've got dry legs at the moment and my tan is still clinging on for dear life, that just reminds me to moisturise myself!

I'm may be wrong but I'm sure I used to use baby lotion as a cleanser when I was younger so that probably doesn't help if it is the same stuff! Why does she insist on using baby lotion? Surely if her tan isn't lasting she should be willing to try a different moisturiser? Have you suggested that she uses baby moisturiser instead of Baby lotion and see if that makes any difference?

Tantrick do a really nice tan extender now.It has a small amount of dha in it to keep her tan for longer and a little goes a long way its very easy to apply.

well I've given tan trick 2 bashes now and each time I've ended up a hideous patchy glowing mess my skin is quite dry but not excessively maybe shes just not suited to it!
