Hello,

At present im gaining several new nail customers a week and its still only winter time. What is the best way to take advantage of this fortunate situation?

Ive thought that I can put up my prices so that I can get more money from new clients, but seems a waste to put some customers off.

Is there any way you can sell on sales leads? Has anyone had experience of this? Many of these new clients have never heard of me before, so it isnt that they just want me. They are just looking for a mobile nail tech locally, and to save a few quid on salon prices.

any thoughts?

The best way to take advantage is to just keeping up the good work your doing , it pays off come to summer time all these people who come in for one off full sets will all be remembering how good of a service you gave them , so in the long run your making money all the time , cos of the good reputation your building ..

Why put people off by putting the prices up , you dont want people to think your greedy?

Keep up the good work
& retail items to them if you have them such as cuticle oil etc

Can i ask how you are managing to get so many new clients?? I am really struggling at the moment. Have you been advertising?

Lisa

Hiya,
I've got a referral relationship with a local mobile beauty therapist. For every referral to each other we are credited with £5 off our next treatment from each other xx

If you want to try to achieve more sales without necessarily increasing your rates you could consider upselling to them, in your case having some related beauty products that you could offer.

However I would focus on building a reputation and a brand for yourself, by being overly aggressive in sales terms you could put off clients so maintain your hard work and reap the benefits in the longer term as your business grows.

Thanks for the advice, makes sense. What I mean is soon I think ill come to the point where I have not enough time to handle clients, so I will have to turn them away.

How do I make best use of clients I turn away! Either only acccpet those willig to pay top whack, or some how sell them on!

You've misunderstood, I mean ill have more work than I can handle soon!

Lisa, ill pm you !

For example I just got a nail lead for gel or acrylics in bishops stortford, but im about to turn it down as a bit far for me to travel... Anyone want me to forward them the details? Pm me!?

one thing you might be able to do is increase the length of time between your clients appointments. so if you see them every 2 week, make it every 3.
this will leave you with an extra week in which to schedule all these new clients.
also take their numbers if yoy cant fit them in in case you have a cancellation you want to fill.

Some good points, thanks Susan.

My suggestion would be to fit them in if you possibly can and, if not, explain you are full and you'll keep their details and call them if you have a cancellation.

Don't give away or turn away clients. Not all clients will stay with you and a few may leave at the same time. The ones that you can't fit in will think you must be extra good to be so busy!

In the first years of a business it will be up and down until you are very well established and to get to that enviable place I believe it takes working all hours possible.

To be honest, deal with the problem when it happens. If you have too much demand, put your prices up. The idea that you can have too many clients is wrong in my opinion, you never know what is round the corner so make hay while you can.

I too would be interested to know. You're obviously doing something that I'm not!
