hi
im slowly replacing my course makeup kit with items from MAC, BB, Smashbox etc but its so hard trying to work out how much i will need - the course didnt really offer any advice about putting kits together, so i'm basically taking a wild guess - here's what ive coming up with for bridals, proms and special occasions, do you think it sounds ok as a starting point? will obviously add to it as i get more booking:

2 primers - different skin tones
10 foundations, plan to mix some colours
3 concealers
2 powders, 1 trans, 1 yellow based
8 trio/quad eyeshadows - muted colours
1 pro palette of individual mac pans - brighter colours for proms etc
3 gel eyeliners
3 pencil eye liners
3 mascaras - 2 black, 1 brown
3 cream blushers
10 lipsticks - muted for bridals
5 lipsticks - brighter colours for proms etc
2 lipglosses - 1 clear, 1 pale pink for flower girls
1 lip salve
cleanser, toner, moisturiser for different skin types

any advice about putting a kit together would be appreciated, really
many thanks

hi

2 primers - different skin tones I would say laura mercier/mac/smashbox (you dont need 2 really)
10 foundations, plan to mix some colours Try Screenface they have starter kits of foundations you get around 5 but you can mix these together, dont buy too many until you need to as they will go off
3 concealers Again Screenface do a stackable concealor set (good for wide range of skin tones and you can blend together)
2 powders, 1 trans, 1 yellow based Yellow I can recommend benefit your bluffing
8 trio/quad eyeshadows - muted colours Screenface do palettes for around £35 and they have around 15 colours in neutral palette great for bridal/natural looks
1 pro palette of individual mac pans - brighter colours for proms etc
3 gel eyeliners I can recommend Bobbi Brown gel liners and Smashbox cream liners
3 pencil eye liners
3 mascaras - 2 black, 1 brown waterproof for brides
3 cream blushers plus a few powders blushers
10 lipsticks - muted for bridals Screenface do lip palettes for a good price
5 lipsticks - brighter colours for proms etc
2 lipglosses - 1 clear, 1 pale pink for flower girls
1 lip salve
cleanser, toner, moisturiser for different skin types
Hope this has helped you, obviously you need to build your kit as you go as it can be very expensive, I would also recommend that you buy a decent set of brushes
