Ok, I'm definitely NOT asking someone to do my homework! I have completed the chart, two and a half hours ago, but for one tiny part. The homework is to list pedicure contra indications, and include various types including nail diseases, fungal, joint disorder, circulatory, etc. I completed all this as I say two and a half hours ago. BUT - I have ONE left, and since finishing all the rest, I've been constantly looking through my Janet Simms, my encyclopedia of nails, the BT8 handout from college, and the internet. AND I AM PULLING MY HAIR OUT BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND A MUSCULAR CONTRA INDICATION TO PEDICURE! AAARRRGH!

Someone please just tell me the name of a muscular contra-indication to pedicure, and I'll do the research, or tell me where to search it, 'cos this is driving me nuts!

(BTW I've come up with Polymyositis, Dermatomyositis, Muscular dystrophy, Fibromyalgia, Myopathies and the list goes on, but I can't find out if any of them are contra-indications, most things I look at seem to benefit from a pedicure!)

Thanks in advance if anyone can put me out of my misery, even my IBS is playing up today, I think it's in sympathy for my addled brain:irked:

looks like no-one knows of one then! I think I'll ask the tutor in the morning, and complete my table at lunchtime. Thanks to all who looked in!

I did look at your thread last night and the only thing i could think of was if the client had pulled or torn a muscle,
there fore making it too painful for them,
but i didn't think this was what your college would be looking for ?
sorry hun

I think they must be thinking if a sprained ankle, and the only bit you couldn't do during a pedicure would be the massage. There's also something called compartment syndrome where the muscle swells inside the fascia (often in the lower leg of athletes), but this is very painful and I don't think anyone would be wanting a pedicure if they had it!

Thanks for the helpful answers.
