Hi everyone - am a new geek - and new to childrens nail art parties!! what am I letting myself in for ha ha!!! I've just had a friend book my first party - have any of you got invitations that you would be kind enough to let me look at - so I can get an idea of what to put? I would be very gratefull.
Thank you S-J:lol::lol::lol:

If i were you i'd type it into a search engine and you should get a few come up... I think this is a fantastic idea :) How many children will there be? I think clever but brave hehehe.... i hope it goes well, im sure the kids will love it :)

Hi Emma Thanks a lot I will do that - there will be 6 little darlings!!! Am going to do some searching now!

Do you know what designs youll be doing? I dont do nail art but quite interested in the future to train to offer this. There are loads of instructional videos on the le chat website i have seen, on here and also youtube.I have been looking at them and looks so interesting and amazing. Also thought of offering princess parties for mini manis and polish for the future, so would be good as an extra to have this.... Im a good face painter too lol....

Hiya,

Was just reading this as I've got a young daughter & she'd love something like this for her birthday (or any other day for that matter, lol). Just a thought, you may want to put some kind of permission slip kind of like what you used to get for school trips on the bottom to be sent to the party with each child. That way you or the host child's mother shouldn't come face to face with any disgruntled parents who don't want their kids nails/faces/whatever painted, you'll have it in black and white that they agreed to it.

Also, ask about putting a business card into the party bags, if they're being done, never know you might get a couple of new clients out of it.

My friend does these and makes up her own party bags with a little nail polish, a lip gloss, a business card, a balloon, and most importantly a voucher for mum and daughter pamper hour (mini facial or mini manicure)at reduced cost or 10% off any treatment booked with the voucher. The lucky one has picked up quite a few new clients and the partys are becoming very well known!

Sam yesterday when i was reading this i was thinking that party bags would be a good idea but didnt want to suggest it as afraid noone else would lol....i guess that way u dont need to ask for her to put ur cards in... and what a good idea, mum and daughter happy hour :)

It is a difficult one when it comes to kids partys but its a case of being sneaky with what youve got lol.
Make your own invitations with your company logo and consent form on the bottom. As long as they are pink and girly then the mums wouldnt mind (as the consent form is on there you have to send them out) also it saves mum money on buying invitations (same with the party bags).
Another one is to register on freeindex and invite people to leave you a review with the offer of a discounted treatment for there time and trouble. This will then move you up the result on google.
Offer mum of party girl a little mini manicure at the end of the party, then mum will feel refreshed and you leave with all calm and mum boasting at school on monday morning at how fab it all was.
Team up with a face painter, then the little angels dont get bored. A teenager looking for some pocket money and a bit of artistic flare. All little angels love to look up to teenagers and even more so when having attention adorned on them.

Getting a bit carried away now, but there are so many ways to stand out from the crowd and bring the wow factor.

Ha did u see my post above abotu i am a good face painter too lol... i wish there were 2 of me ;) (only in this instance lol).

Love ur ideas - i hope u r offering these yourself!! U'd make a fortune ;) Love the idea of invitations...

In the future i def want to offer something like this...dont drive at the mo, but when i do... plan on doing my midwifery training when all my kids are at school and a little older, but def want to do this and go mobile in the future before i go into midwifery :)

This is another thread regarding these childrens parties. It's a thing we DON'T have here in Denmark, so I really don't know/understand:green: and on almost every thread I have tried asking do you make the same as a regular salonday pr hour? Or does it bring in customers (mums, mums friends etc.) enough to cover what's lost?

I have been accused to be money-orientated but have never got an answer, I really would like to know, because if it brings i money or enough clients (and I mean clients as in new regulars) then it could be a thing I would consider. But if it's just for fun, then I wouldn't as I have set an hourly wage I have to bring in to make my business expand. And the risk of having to do these every week ad loose out on a day with clients and retail just isn't profitable to me on a regular basis.

So please you who offer this regularly, is this worth it?? including the work before, partybags etc. and what do you charge and how long is the party?

It makes you a good hourly wage for small outlay, but it is the possible clients that can be sought through the parties with mums etc

It is like any new venture, the money will not be there until you build a reputation for the parties and it takes a bit of work but very worthwhile.

Fill a few party bags, paint a few nails in exchange for possible new clients, party fee, free advertising in party bags.

As long as you are careful and only offer a couple of things(nail designs)to the kids and buy cheap for the party bags you cant really go wrong.

Hi Sam do you have any examples of an invitation - am finding it difficult to find anything suitable and have a brain block as to what to put -
Gratefully yours
Sarah x

I would look for something really girl on the net even if u look for bday invitations to get some ideas... have never seen a nail one before, but would say something like '' .... has invited you to come and enjoy a girly afternoon with friends for her bday'' and then explain whaty ur doing (how would u like your nails painted with a lovely design of ... or .... - take your pick :) ).... maybe something like that lol

The one I designed for my friend had a princess crown printed onto pink shimmery paper(used to make cards as a hobby lol) and then personalised to each child.
Something like
Princess (birthday girls name)--------------
would royally like to invite
Princess (friends name)--------------
To an afternoon of pampering at (party venue)-------------
The princess party will commence at ------ until ------
Please RSVP to(birthday girls details)
-------------------------------------------------
Consent (adapt accordingly)
I (parents name)----- consent for (friends name)------ to have there nails painted and gems applied to the nails, cuticle oil and hand cream to be applied.
Signed ---------------
Dear parent

This is just a rough very late night suggestion, as I dont have a copy ot hand.
Images and paper are easier enough to find on the internet and your home printer (as long as colour) is suffice to print them. I did them A4 and just added a few sparkles to the envelope.

Love ur ideas - i hope u r offering these yourself!! U'd make a fortune ;)
Not doing them myself, I should do really(instead of setting others up in it lol)
Hope this helps someone x

Just a thought & a bit off topic, but do you know any cake makers maybe who you could put mums in contact with for a simple princess themed cake? Or polish bottle cake or something to go with the theme of the party.

I've been thinking about offering these kind of parties myself while I build my confidence & happen to bake as a hobby & make & decorate cakes. Bet the whole package taken care of pretty much at once would go down quite well as it'd take the pressure of organising off the host childs mam :)

Hi emma - am trying out some designs - they need to be quite simple as am allocating 20 mins per child so havent got loads of time. I Have ordered some stickers hearts, flowers, stars that I think they will love!! I won't be offering too much choice as after reading threads on here, it will give them choice and will take ages for them to decide so I thought I would have max 10 designs and also a separate set of designs with rhinestones for the party girl. Have nearly finished my invitations still a little bit of work needed but have put together a consent form. Thanks to everyone for your ideas and support - If anyone wants copies when I have finished I will let you have them.

I think thats a good idea :) Could u tell me whether stars etc have to be specifically bought for nails or can u just use any type of glitter / stars / hearts etc... I did my daughters nails last nite, shes 7.Shes begged n begged for overlays and i caved - hope that doesnt make me a bad mum? lol... I have explained to her about picking them and not to, and not use them to pick at things etc - she was so happy - i even dipped the tips in glitter after watching a tutorial how to angle the glitter pot etc, and put a star on each thumb - i was soooo impressed with myself. Now sure it was 100% professional lol, but practice makes perfect right? I do want to train in nail art once i am perfect at the gels, and once money allows me to - a 7 yr old, 16 mth old and one on the way sure eats at ya wallet ;)

Well I did my first party today!!!! it went really well apart from I went over time by just under an hour!!!!! but it was my friends daughter. I really went to town and did it really cheap and included glitter tattoos which they all loved. I had a couple to re do as they smudged a couple of nails, but I have a nail dryer so that helped a lot. They loved my party bags and the designs went down really well. I am very pleased!!! Next one at the end of the month ... and hopefully more will come as put flyers in the party bags too!!

I'm going to be doing these. My daughters birthday is mid November and she wants one, so she will be my guinea pig.

I've a few nail art designs in mind, but want to get some of the stickers too. I'll be doing tattoos also. (Although I think I may need someone else to help lol). I'm looking to make or buy some tiy tiaras, as I also make jewellery and my girls love making it, so the Princess Pamper Parties will be called Tips n Tiaras. There'll be a supply of beads and tiaras for them to make, whilst each child is having their nails painted.

I'm putting discount vouchers on my daughters invites for future bookings. I can't decide though whether to provide party bags, as the parents normally make them up themselves.
