Hi , well now xmas is over , Ive decided to go back to a more natural look for the time being on myself. This is my first set of CND natural looking nails , but I done it differently to how I normally would.

I done a reverse application ..for the first time, extending the nail bed with neutral pink opaque, the tips are soft white opaque, first time Ive used this colour, and overlayed in clear popits. What you think?

There is another picture of them in my album too.

I love that look. Very natural looking! Great job! :)

Hi Look lovely love the colour :)

Hi doll really natural looking.. Wee question lol... Is the method you use with popits over the top off your application easy to do as I have thought of applying L&P white to my tip and using popoits for overlay but was worried the nails would be to thick.. Or do you buff and smooth product before popit application... sorry for asking question.. But your nails are lovley... xxx

Hi, yes I just made sure the application underneath was thin, block buffed it, dont bother with building the apex , and then fill the popit and place it on top .If it came out too thick looking at the end you could always file the free edge down thinner after putting the poppit on and then buff the area to a shine!!Hope this makes sense.:)

debbie - i like! you don't hang around do you? i know in my thread the other day you said you was gonna try it - you only ordered it yesterday didn't you?
well done:)

lol..yes, well I ordered it yesterday am hoping to try out on one of my clients today who has the natural look, but she cancelled last night, so it arrived this morning and I had a few hours to spare so I just had to get it out and give it ago.

Very nice and very natural looking x

nice nails, perhaps a little cloudy .... even natural nails still have some degree of smile definition.

But i'd imagine this client would be very happy.

Nice and natural looking, well done :)

Just a couple of observations if you don't mind though - Firstly I think the smile lines are just a little too extended as some of them look like they are off the end of the finger (maybe this is just the camera angle?) Secondly, I don't get the use of a clear popit overlay? The opaque powders need to be a normal thickness over natural smile line in order to cover properly and because you've thinned yours down to overlay with clear it looks a little shadowy iykwim. It also seems like a lot of effort to go to when you've already built your zones why not just top with a gel finishing gloss instead?

Cheers,
Hazel

Hi yes, thanks for that ,yes I agree about the cloudyness and its probly like you say, due to not doing the opaque thick enough.
As for the popits finish , well I just find it easier for me to do them on myself that way,but thankyou I will remember that in future, its only my first attempt at doing reverse application and extending the nail bed, so didnt expect them to turn out perfect.
