"ring ring..hello...my spraygun is leaking all over the place and now im loosing money cos my customers are turning out a mess....I bought a system from you 18 months ago and its all your fault...

well madam..do you clean the gun regularly........of course I do..do you take me for an idiot..ive been spraying for over three years now and know what im doing!!!

ok madam well send us your gun in and we will have a look see as to what the problem is"

ok so thats the call from the customer...when we received the gun anyone could see it hadn't been cleaned since the day it was purchased....

After stripping it down I found a rag in the outlet nozzell so cleand it through and was reasembeling it when....well I couldnt beleive it...I found a pair of tweezers stuck in the pick up hose..:eek:

This is a bit like the surgeon leaving his scalpal inside his patients body after stiching up :eek:

Now apart from wanting to share this unbeleivable story with you guys there is a moral behind the tale.

Ongoing care and maintanance of your equipment is essential and will result in considerable loss of earnings and customers if you don't.

This poor customer has lost customers...trade for a week and will now have to pay for her gun being cleaned and sent back to her.

So take good care of your equipment and it will take good care of you and your buisness

omg , i bet you thought it was some kind of 'youve been framed ' type of thing.

I am a good girl I swear.
But how the hell did the tweezers get stuck in there???
What was she picking out??

but just think Collin, it could have been far FAR worse... :green:

How the hell did a pair of tweezers fit in there????!!!!!

PMSL i would have loved to have been a fly on the wall while you were cleaning that gun out
i bet the air was blue

Well (s)he wasn't lying when (s)he said it wasn't working properly! No wonder:lol:

Ok while we are on the subject. I have just purchased a T200. Could you give me a reminder of how often it should be cleaned.

So far, I have been flushing/spraying with water at the end of a spray. Is there a certain number of tans when you have to open it up (like the demo posted on here) and dismantle it. I am a bit worried I might not put it back correctly! Hubby would be best to do this I guess as he has more patience than me.

 omg a pair of tweezers and some rag ?? wtf was she using it for ??:lol:

Not as blue as when the customer kicked off complaining that she didnt think it was right for us to charge her for the cleaning (even though this was minimal) and the carriage to get it back to her.

Worst still this was in fact a free of charge replacement gun we had sent her in November :eek:

Maybe we should introduce a "we will clean your gun every week for you"with every old kit ever purchased since the Chinese built the great wall untill such time as our sun doesn't shine above us any longer.

She is so disgusted she is going to change brands ....erm no comment :lol:

lol , let her get on with it , she obviously can never be happy , a thnks wouldnt go amiss though would it

The phrases "some people" and "good riddance" springs to mind

A good strip down of your gun and a thorough clean once a month will give your gun optimum performance.

If you line up all the parts.. it is very simple to re-mantle.. just place them in the order you take them out then place them back in reverse.

I love the calls that i get - 'yeah i clean it every day' when asked how they clean it 'well i rinse the cup out how do you think i clean it' as if to say ARE YOU STUPID??

Then when i tell them how the gun SHOULD be cleaned, off they pop and clean it, come back 5 seconds later... 'No its still not working' well it wont be as you have had your gun for 3 year and it has NEVER been cleaned!

When they send it in, the state of the gun is unreal, i would be embarrassed getting that out in front of a client! The amount of gunky solution that is round the needle and in the gun where the needle goes is UNREAL!!
