Nail art foil adhesive?

Hi I am doing Nail art and practising with the foil strip and adhesive and no matter how hard I try I can't get the foil to stick to the Nail! I thought perhaps the adhesive I've got is no good? I wait several minutes for it to go clear and dry but still no good :-\

Is there any particular ones that work well? X

I do my foil with gel polish. It sticks like a dream to the inhibition layer of the color coat. Then top coat as normal.

I use a lot of foils and have no issues.

I have only ever used products by Shardee Nail Shimmers.

She is in Australia but I am pretty sure she ships overseas.

Are you applying the foil the correct way? When i first started doing foils i put the foil faced down instead of faced up lol
