Hi im waiting for my acrylics EN course to arrive and i was just wondering if it comes with any varnish to do nail art or if these have to purchased seperatly? i want to learn from various tutorials about nail art. Do you have to use a different varnish on acrylics then on the natural nail? If i need to purchase the paints sperately can anyone advise me on somewhere to get them from along with the fine nail art brushes?

Thanx everyone......my course actually got deleivered tuesday but i wasnt in...damn it...wasnt going to be in wednesday so had to re-reorder it for today...gutted lol

hi...the course will come with everything you need to do the designs in the course....fine brush, striping brush, dotting tool, fan brush, 9 paints, base coat, top coat, glitter mixer, rhinestones, stickey backed transfers, water release transfers, nail piercing charms, nail piercing drill, 4 coloured nail polishes, test papers, dvd, progress cards, book, glitters, mixing palette, orange sticks, worktop towels, lint free pads, scissors, tweezers, foil adhesive, foil, practise nails..think thats everything ...but if you go on the essential nails website and click on the course, it will bring up a picture of everything that is included in the course xx

Hi anna. Thanks for the reply. Is this what comes with the acrylic course or the nail art course? i am only doing the acrylic course and want to learn nail art by myself? looking at the picutre on the EN website i dont see any of this advertised? Please let me know thanx hun x

Hi. That's just the nail art course. Not sure about the acrylics, I'm hoping to do that one next.

Hi no nail art products come with the acrylic course hun. All you get is your acrylic products to complete the course.

Nail art products will need to be purchased seperatly.

HTH x

My advice to you is to just concentrate on your L&P course for now, believe me it is more than enough to occupy your time.

Why don't you buy some cheap water based acrylic paints from your local art shop and when you finish your course you can practice various designs with a striping brush & fine detail brush just to get started.
I would consider a nail art course too if I were you.

I have to agree with Stephen on this point - definately get your L&P sorted because you will need loads and loads of practise. There are so many things I want to do and learn and I am generally a 'jump straight in' kind of a girl but in order to perfect the art it's best to take one step at a time. Good luck with your course

what is L&P is this another name for acrylics? sorry im so new i dont know all this stuff yet...i know diddly squat lol?

L&P is another name for acrylic, created with liquid and powder,

as all nail enhancements are from the acrylic family (L&P, gel) this makes it easier to differentiate,

hope that helps! and didnt confuse you more!

:)

Lovin your enthusiasm but first things first!! :green: whoa there .. slow down!

Any kind of nail art looks horrendous if not applied to beautiful nails so ...

learn to do the beautiful nails first and then concentrate on the art.

It's always fun to 'play' with nail art on tips though when you need a break form mastering the techniques to produce perfect nails.

People use acrylic paint to do nail art, not polish (or rarely polish). Polish is too sticky to paint designs with. You can buy acrylic paint kits at any art store to play with and you need a few very small brushes. x

I agree with whats been said but I dont see why you cant do some nail art as well as your new course...however if your anything like I was when I first got my EN course you will likely spend hours and hours and hours and all day practising with your new found friend mr.handy...and then realise at the end of the day when you have finished practising that youve only actually completed 3 nails! lol  but nail art is fun and good for a change/break....I would say to buy yourself a big bag of cheapo tips, the smallest finest tiniest brushes you can find ( cheap one are fine) and some acrylic paint from art store, smiths or anywhere like that...theyre usually around about a pound each.....and also remember you dont need to buy every colour under the sun....you can mix any colour if you have red, yellow, blue, white and black!

One more thing I would say is that when you start practising with your liquid and powder...practise on your cheapo tips for a while rather than blending tips on the trainer everytime....when I think back to the amount of tips, time, time spent blending and preparing a tip before applying product, and trainer nails I wasted doesnt bare thinking about!! lol good luck with it! x
