:) Ok, so after reading the threads on here I've realised nail art is a big thing! Huuuuge in fact! So I thought I'd ask everyone...

What is your favourite nail art product :?:

Whether it's striping polishes, gems, rhinestones, glitter, free-hand design paints, acrylics or just a particlular brand of products, I'm sure you all have something that you will always have in your kit!

:green: Luv D* xXx

Hiyah

I love GLITTER ,I DO!! Honestly anything glittery or sparkly from striper pens to glitter dust I love it, I think I was a magpie in my past life as anything that glistens gets my attention lol.

Sue :)

I think I was also a magpie, if it sparkles I want it!
But I also love my airbrush, oh and my enamels (cnd) and my rhinestones and my stripers
oops, was meant to pick one, but I cant I love them all :)

I love acryl powders. I love the fascination ppl have when they see what you can do with a brush. HAHA

I am a cheap painter yet so screw this one for now

stripers do well on 3D, but they're quite limited.

bullions/beads are nice to go with...

I have a "crush" on colordrops these days, so summer-ish!

and if you want a brand
Artistic Nail Design

dont be without acrylic paint, you can do wonders with it. and cocktail sticks [toothpicks] for applying paint and glue.

Makes 2 of us ...I am loving the glitter.I love anything that sparkles glints in the sun ..:) x

hard to cut it down to one product, but over the last 5 years I think I've probably bought most things arty going and the ONLY thing I've used enough to ever have to replace (more than once) is my nubar sliver glitter striper !!!

you cant just choose one item thats "IMPOSSIBLE" well i can't anyway!!!!

Ok, ok! If you had to choose TWO! What would your choices be lol? :green:

I', totally luving my new acrylic water based paints! They're wicked! :)

Luv D* xXx

its hard to choose a favourite thing because i love all my nail art stuff, and my kit just keeps getting bigger!
i love doing freehand designs with my acrylic paints and my set of 5 nail art brushes, my clients love it because every design is original, i couldn't live without my rhinestone wheel either! x

I think MinX - pre-designed nail coverings - are going to be everyone's favourite soon.

They are brilliant and for once you get paid properly for doing it. Available from Sweet Squared NOW 08452106060. Minx Nail Coverings if you want to have a look. The silver and gold designs have to be seen to be believed. And it is instant.

Hi Geeg

Are these a bit like foils? It says on the website that this should only be applied by professionals. Does this mean I need to do training to use their products? :green: I would like to try them along-side my college course?

Thanks!

MinX are not applied like foils.

They are warmed under an infra red lamp and so is the hand (the college will have a lamp like this). Then you simply peel off and apply to a clean dry surface of the nail (natural or enhanced)... a demo helps but I figured it out on my own. They last and last. Never chip or peel.

There will be a step by step very shortly, as I have already shot the photos for it.

You don't have to have the training to purchase (it's not that difficult to do) but it will only be sold to professionals not the end consumer and . Like anything else, there are 'tricks' that will help your application become better and easier.

Geeg thank you so much, I totally get how this works, sounds fantastic, and so much quicker than polish! Can't wait to see the step-by-step, may purchase the mini kit to have a go! This may give me an edge above other nail tech's in my area when trained!

Thanks again,

D* xXx

You can buy as little as one sheet of a design. And give it a go. S2 have stock in now. Don't know about mini kits ... don't forget I directed you to a US website, not the S2 website.

You can cut them and make your own version of pre-designed tips too! You can also layer them for different effects. LOADS of fun.

:) :)If you can hang wallpaper, you can use MinX. :) :)

Oh dear - you should see me with wallpaper:eek: still I'm going to give these a go:)

Anything that's "freehanded"
Such as my paints, can't part with them.
And I can NOT wait to learn L&P and start doing 3d's and such...
CAN'T WAIT....

I like original. I like one of a kind, so hence why I said "freehanded" and didn't choose a particular item.

Choosing one item, or even 2 is IMPOSSIBLE.

Ok ok ok: don't take my paints and brushes lol
