I have some really fine purple glitter and I think I could do something with this in nail art any suggestions on what to do with it, I havent used loose glitter before
Add it to some clear acrylic or gel, and let your imagination go! You can use it for french tips, or as a background as a glitter fade, that you can add more art ontop of.
Hi, I was reading this tutorial and wanted to ask if you put bond gel again after applying glitter to the tip please. i notice i have more lifting when i use glitter, this is what i do:
prep as usual
bond gel only on tip
dip tip into glitter
cure
bond gel on whole nail
cure
builder gel
cure
appex
cure
topshine
cure
* Prepare
* Primer
* Cover Gel (thin layer)
* Cure
* Glitter
* Clear Builder Gel (thin layer, only on tip just to fix glitter)
* Cure
* Clear Builder Gel (work on full nail)
* Cure
* Sticker
* Top Coat
what i do different is that i can't seem to manage to do a proper smile line if applying the glitter with the brush that's why i dip the nails, then i fix the glitter with the bond gel again while you do it with the builder.
i use the same system when i do dry flowers, i cover the flower with bond gel and cure before i do the builder.
if you think i m mistaken please let me know!
thanks alot
The best result can only be achievable by using a brush (but fresh one, not the one you work with gel). I have tried dipping myself, it really doesn't work out that well... :hug:
Alternatively, you could try to mix small portion of glitter with gel (in a nail art pot), then apply it in a same way you work with coloured gel for example. By doing this, you'll also create a different shine than working with dry glitter. Down side of this technique is that it's not that easy to work with thick gel.
So overall - I would suggest you to just practice more on applying glitter with a brush
