Me again, sorry for the long thread!!!

I have a client that keeps having breakages & she is adament it is the acyrlic. I done her infills last saturday & the next day she had txt me to tell me she had broken 2 nails . I went round to fix them she told me that they had just come off without her doing anything & that she never had this problem before when she had them done at a nss salon :grr:!!!!!
I had a look at them, they had broken in the centre & she had picked at them, so she had obviously had broken them herself but was adament she hadn't touched them !

She is also on 26 types of medication so if think this might not be helping either?

I don't have any problems with any other of my clients so i know its not me! I just don't know what do with it now????

If she's on that many different kinds of meds then her health can't be good, when we're not in the best of health it shows in our nails/hair/skin etc. One of my clients has to take a lot of meds, she has MS (amongst other things) and she struggles to keep enhancements on, even short gel overlays, but she understands that her health doesn't help matters.

Could your client also have thinned nail plates due to going to the NSS?
If so then that won't help with your L+P staying on her nails.

Hi

I did think it was her medication & i explained this to her but she is still adament that it is the system!
Her nails are very thin, so that will make sense too. The other problem is that she went to another salon before she came to me which wasn't a NSS salon & she said they stayed on, so thats why she keeps think its the system!!

It might not be the medication, but her general health.

You're using Creative monomers, it adheres to keratin and if her nails are thin/damaged then I'm going to bet that that could be part of the problem, alongside her health, add them together and you've got a recipe for lifting and problems.
She will be telling you that it's your fault or your L+P system, it's human nature to not blame oneself, if you're not having the same problems with your other clients then it has to be individual to her.

If they stayed on so well from the other salon then why is she visiting you and not them. Sometimes you have to 'read between the lines'. On saying that I have found that many clients coming from NNS are so used to the nails being like concrete that they have become very heavy handed. Try to build more of a 'backbone' (see geegs application tutorials) and if you can persuade her to keep them shorter to prevent bashing it would help.

If all else fails then remember the saying "you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time"
