I was put on a Nail Tech course training with what I thought was Acrygel as that's what they advertised, but instead I got LCN. I wasn't meant to do pedicure as that wasn't part of the course, but had to do it. A fellow student 'needed' me to be a model for her else she couldn't do the pedicure course she paid for. They basically put me on the spot with this. As a result, my other couple of days of training I was meant to get for more time on UV Gels and Acrylics, I didn't get. I was meant to get 1 to 1 training on those days, but then out of the blue, about 8 other people showed on those days, so I was unable to go over it as much as I'd have liked. On the course, I did one set of UV gels, which they said were good, but I'm not confident with them. My acrylics are better, as now the course is over, people ask me to do their nails, and my acrylics last about 3 weeks without chipping/breaking etc. The Gels just don't last.

I then decided to redo training with the college as an evening class with my ILA funding. (I cannot go to Creative, they are too far away and too expensive). Anyway the college need to see a manicure certificate before I can enrol. But I cannot get hold of the training school in anyway. I have tried calling and emailing, but they now seem to ignore me. I'm just so stressed atm, I'm not sure what to do. The last I heard from the training school was that they received my case studies and they will be marked by the tutors. That was ages ago and now, despite me trying to get in touch, I have nothing back from them.

I am looking at NSI as they are closer, but still over 30 miles and for an evening class, I'd rather not, as I have kids to look after too. I could do it in the day, but they need models and I don't know anyone who could do it. I advertised in my son's nursery, locally etc.

Rant over. Sorry but I'm just stressed out of my eyeballs and unsure what to do really.

I'm sorry for your distress. This is however a blog and not really a discussion.

I'd save up and go with CND where you won't be ripped off, where you will learn what you are supposed to learn and where you will find in the end that it is really no more expensive and what's more worth every penny if it gets you to where you want to be.
