hi all,

i was woundering if you could tell me if this nail course would be worth paying to do ? Advanced Institute of Nail Technology im not sure if this course is the one i will need as alot of places do courses now its hard to find the right one? do i need to do a ITEC course?

You can do a course with a manufacturer/distributor which I think most of us on here have done. I personally prefer these courses as they are product specific and the range of knowledge has always seemed better to me. I use Young Nails and love it and know they have trainers in Ireland, CND are fab as well and there are many other brands out there.

Use the search button at the top of the page here and have a look at the Young Nails site and Sweet Squared for CND. Some will depend on where you are and where the training is.

I would always find out what product any course is using as this can make a big difference in how easy you will find the course and will prevent you from wanting or needing to change over once you are qualified. :)

im after being thinking about what your were saying about going with manufacturer/distributor i have researched this and found young nails in irelnd and creative, i rang young nails and they do 2 seperate courses for acrylic's and gel, and creative do one course covering both with kits included this is the web page i found Creative Academy Ireland - Education Introduction - CND i think i will be going with them just have to get the course fee, will take a couple of weeks saving but ive being interested in doing nails the last 2yrs and said this is my new year plan to get it going:)

An alternative to the courses you have mentioned could be Nail Technician School which provides an online training course that can be completed from home.
