Would not bother me at all, I trained at college with such a great guy and tech called Keith. He used to have the same problem, clients were reluctant to go to him, however once word of mouth got round how good he was, there was never any hesitation.

The was 1 male in my nail classes. He was really cute, 18 and his desk always had the girls lined up for services. And he was pretty good!

Some of the greatest techs are male so I would just enjoy the experience and once he was famous I may just do some name dropping.

Like in hairdressing, some of the great hairdressers are male! Wouldn't bother me x

it really doesnt make any difference to me

as long as you are professional

If you ask me I think it's great to see more male technicians, this job is an art form........I wouldn't have a preference when looking at a painting, " oh hang on a minute, was this painted by a man or a woman?!" Yep sounds a bit stupid. :|

Nope, no preferences here!

My fav hairdresser at the moment just happens to be male & my fav nail tech at the moment just happens to be male, they make my hair & nails look fab & i enjoy their company. I see no reason at the moment to change.

Ah, women, they should be ashamed. I bet those same women who give negative feedback to a man doing enhancements would be amongst the first to complain if someone told them they couldnt do a manual job or drive a car as good as a man. Hypocrites I tell you!!!
Well for what its worth I would let a male tech nail me any time

wow this is an old thread...but seeing that it has been ressurrected....

I don't care what profession you are in....whether you are male or female...if you do a job well then that's all that matters.

my thoughts exactly
i used to have a male tech do my nails and he was a lot better at it than some of the girlies doing it:|

Hi,
makes no difference to me if the tech was male or female , I have always worked amongst male and female hairdressers ,
in my eyes no difference at all,

we did the job they did the job , no difference,

people chose who they wanted to do their hair purely because they liked the job they did,

I liked one particular bloke to cut my hair not because he was a bloke but because he did my hair cut very well and the way I liked it ,

same with nail techs who cares as long as its done well

.

Hiya

More men the better:hug:

I have my nails done by Marco Benito (only for holiday treats coz i do them any other time)
He's all man and fab at his job

Good Luck

My husband actually did nails for a while before i met him * i thought that he was gay since he worked with nails and make up and didn,t even had a clue that he was hitting on me :green:*
A lot of woman liked to have their nails done by him and espacially when he gave courses he had a lot of feedback.
He told me that nobody minded really to have their nails done by him but that many of the old woman were hitting on him LOL

As long as you do a good job, I just couldn't care less if you are a man or a woman...

Im not either way!! ive had both do mine and especially when i first started out cause i wanted to see how other people worked the guy who did them would have a laugh about it and talk about the trade but when a women did them and you mention your just starting out they would clam up and not really chat like they were initimidated even tho i was a total beginner!!
i know not all women tech's are like it but it made the treatment uncomfortable!!
so back to the point i think its great more guys are getting into it!!!

men are only better at any of their chosen careers because they are never the ones who have to take time out ie having kids ,looking after kids, sorting out the house etc they just persue their careers come what may and if more of them are coming into this industry i suggest all you girls try 10 times harder to be the best

I wouldnt mind either way but I must say it would be a nice change to have a man do my nails. I dont know any male techs personally.x

i voted does not matter...men and woman can do nails just like men and woman can be a plumber,electrican,bulider,etc......

You know I think that this is a very narrow minded way of looking at things. In fact quite sexist if you look at it. Men are just as much capable of looking after children, the house, and generally being a parent AND still be good at their jobs/career path. And I can tell you I've seen it with my own eyes.
Just look at it this way:
What would your reaction be if someone told you that you were only good at your job/career because you've got nothing else in your life to worry about?
Mmmmm sounds harsh eh?
Well my opinion is that whether man or woman, you're either good at what you do or you ain't.;)

I had a male do my nails once and to be totaly honest i was very uncomfortable, i couldnt relax, i dont know why i just couldnt. sorry if i offend anyone but i would rather a woman then a man doing my nails.

I actually nearly choked on my drink when I read this, what a cynical point of view:confused:

"Never the ones who take time out ie looking after the kids",mmmm, well my father actually had custody of myself and my brother from the age of 8 and 9 and continued to look after us both until we left home.Oh,and he was extremely good at HIS chosen career,so whereas this may be your opinion, this is NOT FACT and I would imagine any man reading this would be quite insulted tbh.

I wouldn't mind who did my nails be it male or female, same as most treatments(except intimate waxing really:green: no guesses as to why)As long as they were professional and did a good job that's all that matters, but this is my opinion, each to their own.
