Hi guys

Can any one tell me where the cheapest place is to get a nail machine like the type they use in the chinese salons?

Why would you want to?

If you are talking about a nail drill then cheapest is certainly not the way to go and you will need to be trained in how to use it.

Hi sorry

I am just getting back into nails after a serious accident which has left me with serious weak wrists, After speaking with a few specialists (one who used to be a nail tech in her college days lol) said to use a e file and that would make life easier for me.

Can you suggest and e file and also what company would be best to go with for the training on how to use this? I am competent with doing nails it would just be using the e file I would need as I have never used one before?>

Hi love!

Cheap is definitely not the way to go with an e-file. Cheap drills often have too much vibration - which will cause micro-shattering in your product. There are many light weight, easy to use machines on the market today and their prices vary. My favorite kind is KUPA.

I would also recommend Young Nails, they are friendly and provide good training. You can contact them through their website. :)

as far as im concerned kupa is the way to go if youre just learning, they're moderately priced, but good quality. please dont go with something cheap especially if you have trouble with your wrists! test your handpieces before you buy also, find something thats fits you ergonomically, and then take a course and learn how to use it, you'll save yourself a lot of pain! i learned with a kupa mani-pro. i have carpel tunnel syndrom (had it before i ever started doing nails) and using my file has never made it act up, but i know techs who havent had it before they started using e-files and have aggrivated it to the point of major surgery in just a few short years! so PLEASE do the responsible thing:)

Yes KUPA is THE name in nail drills.

To add to the info on vibration ..

a good machine does not have the vibration of the cheaper drills, and the vibration would also not be good for your wrists.

Be careful, even holding a drill can cause wrist problems as they are heavier than files and you also have to use your wrist when using them.

What drills really do to benefit you is they save you using your arms to file, but then a person who is good with a file shouldn't really be using their arms either (they should always be supported on the top of the desk)..
