Nail pitting?

argh another nail disorder i cant find anything that'll help me on
so nail pitting.
i need the symptoms, development, causes, sites, potential for cross infeciton?, contraindications to nail treatments?, suggested beauty treatments or medical referrals.

all i can find on the net is that it is "pitting of the nails" ....

Do you have any reference books?

Sounds like you are being tested on Onychosis (diagnosis), in which case its always to a good idea to have reference books handy.

Its my nail science assessment. and all i have is my nail science book, which doesnt have all the disorders/diseases in it. and the ones that are in there, there isnt enough information on. and i have my cressy's. but theres not much in there either. and i havent been given any hand outs or anything. :-(
