Just looking for advice really when your mobile do you offer lots of different nail varnishes or do you find that most people just have french or glitter? I dont want to stock up on loads of nail varnishes only for them not to ever get used!!!!:?:

Surely someone has an opinion:green:

LOL....ok here is my opinion....

I only have a few myself.... a red, a burgandy, a couple of browns, a neutral beige, a french set, a few shades of pinks both pearl and matte and then a few bright colours....

About a dozen or so in total....majority of them CND.....

What I do myself to get over the lack of colours is rather than ask a client to choose....I make a suggestion....

''This pink will go lovely with your skin tone...'' etc etc....that sort of thing...

Then they will either accept it or say ''I would rather have that red one''

I find it better that way than to go in negatively saying you don't have much choice to offer them....

Anyway as a mobile tech I think it is acceptable not to have this vast collection....just have the most popular choices xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi I'm not mobile, I am home based but I carry a range of neutral colours and one or two reds, purples, blues & pinks.
I didn't start with this variety but once you establish your clients you will get to know what they like and can stock your range accordingly.
Mind you I don't carry a green but was asked yesterday for green.
I don't think there is much point in having a wide range till you determine what your client base wants.

Same here, when I first started I only carried a french and a couple of neutral colours, I asked a couple of clients to look at the colour chart and pick a dozen colours, they were mostly the same colours so I stuck with the basics...xxxx
But then I did add some acid colours for me lol..xxxx

I carry a variety of about 50 polishes and clients still sometimes mention they want a colour I don't have! I then try to get it as it is usually "the colour of the season" and others then ask for it. I personally think if I want to offer the same treatment as a salon I need a large selection.

I have a case that i bought off ebay and it fits 30 OPI varnishes in, they all look really smart in the case and i feel quite proud when i get it out to show my clients and have had lots of feedback on it too.

Hi

I have a case that carries 18 polishes. I keep reds, pinks, browns, french colours and a couple of popular odd colours (cnd's hotschki to tchotchski and tutti frutti). Now and again I will change a couple for newer colours. Generally this is enough for the clients that like a bit of colour.

have one of the opi cases too, fits 30 in it but i still end up filling the drawers with polishes too, i have about 50. keep them all in that case so not a problem to take from place to place.

I do buy a range of the most popular colours, they all sometimes get used!

Forgot to add....a decent black too....

I got all my bottles out last night...and I have 22!!!
So forget my earlier post....it seems you need more than you think....because they have all been used at some time or other....
