Hi
I use Bio Sculpture Gel on toes in a french white style, my actual toe nails broke and so I used the free edge gel to sculpt a slight edge on my two big toes, I used s gel as I needed the strength and after one week I could see under the clear gel a white colour under the gel on my natural nail, I panicked and thought it might be a fungal infection, so last night I removed the gel and I have a bad case of nail separation and its half way down my nail on my big toe. Well I presume it is nail separation and not a fungal infection??? It is white and if you use a thin object to clean under the nail, it would go all the way down. Please can anyone help as what I can do??? I.e Should I not apply any more gel or nail polish, but it does look unsightly, but don't want to cover it up if it may get worse. i wear flip flop type shoes alot and always have immaculate toes, I have sprayed Bio Sculpture anti fungal on, but is there anything else I can do and will standard nail polish make it worse, if I try and cover it up? Thank you in advance.

hello. am wracking my brain to think of an explanation. have been using bio sculpture for years and have never come across this before. I would defo go the foot doctor to get it checked out so u dont loose the nail. in the meantime get a big toe protector so u dont bang it. good luck x

Hi, how did you break your big toe nails, this could have been the cause.

I have a client who ran in the London Marathon and had this problem for a while on nearly all her toenails because they get bashed in the ends of the running shoes. It has grown out now (5 months on).

Keep the nails short so they dont catch on any sock/shoes and lift and let
it grow out. HTH's

Thanks. I wouldn't say it is connected to the Bio sculpture product, but maybe the length was a bit long and it might have caused the separation by nail being knocked whilst in my wellies walking the dog  just that going around with bare nails especially with a white patch looks horrible.
