Hi

How much training do you need to be able to get some part time work?

I'm going to do a Nail Tech course in a college in September for a year and was wondering if that would enable me to get even a Saturday job doing nails?

What course is it? NVQ2?

If so i would have thought so BUT why not have a ring around your local salons and ask?

If your qualification would be accepted what is the likelyhood of a saturday job?

Never hurts to do some networking and relationship building! Maybe ask if you could do some shadowing whilst you train.

Thanks. It's a part time evening course (one night a week for 28 weeks), it is college certified but I'm not sure what level?? I'll need to enquire!!

Thanks for that - I think I might enquire around some salons to find out!

I work full time as it is and I don't think I'll be giving up my job to do this full time, but it would be good for some extra cash!

You other oppertunity of course would be to go self employed and work as a mobile tech or even work from home.

Probably more hard work that working in a salon but rewarding none the less!

Good luck with your course. I did a part-time evening NVQ2 at college and it was the most fun!

Thanks v much!
I have to say I'm really excited about it!!!! I need to wait until September as well - eek!!
