Hi, I need some help, Iv started a home course with essential nails and im having a slight problem with the nail trainer hand.
When blending the seam after bonding the tip to the nail, the nail tip is crumbling and very thin where the glue is joined.
Im using the correct size tips and there are no air bubbles underneath.

Please can somebody help me??

Also anothe other advice would be absolutely fantastic x x x

Are you using the correct nail glue? Not all glues are created equal. I prefer a pink gel resin. And try not to be "heavy handed" with the filing. A 180 grit file held flat to the nail with a light touch should keep you from going through. One more thing is "pre-beveling" the well of the tip before application. Just run your file across the seam area a couple of times to minimize the amount of filing you will do once the tip is glued on.

hi
are you using the tips and glue and primer which came with they trainer?
i did the very same course with the trainer hand and never had any problems other than the tips not sticking properly but that was down to me being impatient lol
hth;)

If the nail tip well area is crumbling then there is air between the tip well and the nail ... otherwise it couldn't crumble. Many techs use GelBond adhesive with the nail trainer .. gives a much better bond and a whole lot easier to work with.

thanks guys, yeah im using a 180 grit file, im not applying much pressure, im using all the stuff that came with it. And i think there is air in the tip, im sure if i pracise putting the tips to the nail i should be fine.
i do acrylic nails myself, but thought id do the course to gain a qualification, but have never experienced anything like this, thanks a lot x x
