Has anyone got one of those rubber practice hands like they sell on ebay? ( think they go for about a fiver)
I have seen the nail trainer but they are a lot more expensive and I wondered if the other/cheaper types were any good or if it is really a case of you get what you pay for.

thanks x

I have a nail trainer which I had from when I was training with Essential Nails and they are good, however, you have to have the right sort of table in order to clamp the trainer otherwise it could be tricky to keep it steady. I had to clamp mine onto a tray (luckily it worked). Now I am tempted to buy the hand myself. ,

You definitely do get what you pay for where the nail trainer is concerned Angie. A lot of money has been invested in its design, it replicates the movement of the hand and fingers etc.

You won't be disappointed if you get one, loads better that the other kinds of training hands/fingers that are available.

Hi I bought one of those hands before I got my hand trainer, I didn't get on with it at all, it now stands on my dresser all painted and pretty with jewellery hanging from it ..lol..x

The nail trainer is great. the hand is naff. You have to trim all the nail tips to fit and its hard to get the products of the hand. You get what you pay for and the nail trainer would be used over and over again with gel l&P silk or even nail art. hope you make the write choice. xx:confused:

ok, the nail trainer it is then
I will have to save up a while longer and then get on ebay

thanks for the replies guys

Hi hun

Ive got the practice finger, which was useless so I bought the hand, which was even worse, and then hubbie got fed up with me moaning and bought me the nail trainer, my god its a joy to practice nails instead of swearing at the stupid rubber things that didnt make nails fun!

I so wish that I had bought one months ago, they really are a godsend hun and so worth the money

Hi Angie

Give it a go with the blue tac idea (see the link in Becki's post above). I've tried it and it is great to practice your product application and smile lines and a great budget alternative to the trainer hand.
