Hi Everybody, I'm a newbie and I'm looking for some advice please.
For the last 2 years I have been working as a mobile massage and spray tan therapist. The massage side of the business has been very quiet since the credit crunch but spray tan is ticking over ok. Quite a few of my clients over the last 2 years have asked me if I do nails so I'm now seriously considering doing a course and I dont know where or who to do it with. I done a days training in basic manicure/pedicure about a year ago and it cost me quite alot and was crap if I'm honest.
I live in the South West London area, and I would really appreciate and training recommendations that you could give me.
Also, those of you that are already in the business, have you been affected by the the onset of the recession?
Many thanks in advance for your replies:)

Hi Viki

How spooky, I do exactly the same. I am mobile massage and spray tan therapist, and I am looking into doing nails. I have posted the tread regarding Bio Sculpture. I have seen their work it looks impresive but it is expensive. I am looking for advise aswell.

Most people will tell you to get in touch with Sweet Squared. Creative are (i believe) the market leaders in Acrylic nails. I have tried all different products and find Creative the best.
I am only just starting out as a mobile nail tech so i cant comment on the "credit crunch"
Hope this helps.
Good luck

Hi, thats a coincidence, also I see that you are from Aldershot, I have been spending quite a lot of time there lately, visiting an uncle.

How's business been for you, I'm finding it hard to get new massage clients at the moment.
I'm considering training with CND, but I want to get as much advice as poss before spending any money.

Thanks Gem, did you train with Creative?

it is very quiet. that is why I am looking into doing nails.Like you have said the spray tanning is keeping me going. Nobody has got any money. What I find spray tanning and nails (hair) anythink like that is immediate so people can se the difference and it makes them feel better. Massage is more long term and not visual. Humans are very visual creatures ;-)
that is my outlook :)

Thanks Gem, did you train with Creative?

No i havent but i am looking to do a conversion course with them.
Good luck in your search for advise. if you look through the next few pages of the websote you will find many people asking the same question. Its interesting to read peoples opinions.
