Hello ladies, I wondered if there are any geeks out there that have a nail trainer that is cluttering up their home and fancy sending it to a new nail geek to clutter their home instead?
I am a new nail geek, I paid for a home study course, I read a folder full of information, watched a dvd, did 3 sets of nails on friends took photos (see my photos on my profile) and sent them off to the tutor. She has now sent me a certificate to say they are ok and I have completed her course in acrylic nails.
Thing is, the nails I did I think were flukes. They weren’t too bad and my ladies were pleased with them which is good. The only thing is, this is all the practise I have done so I don’t feel confident enough to go out into the big bad world to do them.
The ones I did were just natural so that was fairly easy BUT I tried French on myself and they look ok far away but close up they are all over the place, just bumpy and the smile line is not perfect.
Can anyone help? Does anyone want to de clutter to a good home?

I think it would be worth your while to book a class training course where they would teach you how to do the whites,
creative are excellent for this 0845 210 6060 hth

I agree - you definitely need to have some face to face training as your experience with home study shows that it is not worth the paper it is written on.

Good on you for having the guts to admit that what you have been certified for is not enough to go out into the big world of being a qualified nail tech.

You also need to consider that to be able to charge for doing a set of nails on a paying client you need liability insurance and I doubt whether this home study course will give you sufficient qualification to get this required insurance.

Can I ask how you feel n ow about the money that you have spent on this course? Has it given you the skills you expected?
