Nails done abroad- nightmare!!

Had a client booked in yesterday for a removal and new set of l&p!
It took me 2 hours of soaking, 1 hour of filing and 2 files to get these nails off!
She got them done in corfu 4 weeks previous and there was absolutly no lifting and after an hour in acetone they were only slightly starting to come off!
Never seen anything like these before! And after I got them all off her nails were really yellowy and very very weak. The free edge was just breaking off when I tried to file it down a bit. And I could feel the nail plate going down when I was pressing on it. Its totally wrecked her nails!
Told her I wouldnt put a new set on for a good month or so and gave her some solar oil to use twice a day. Just hope she uses it!
What do u think was used on them?! She gets her nails done all the time so knows the difference between gel and l&p and said she noticed nothing different when the girl was doing her nails!

Maybe it could be that mma.
I had a client who got her nails done on holiday and i was the same took me ages to do it.
I must say that i didnt really want to do it as it wasnt me that put them on. But i couldnt possibly let her go away and try and rip them or bite them off.
But i told her i couldnt be responsible for any damage caused.

Where they really smelly when filing them down and soaking off?
The womans i done where horrible... xx

Simple it will be MMA Methyl Methacrylate monomer this is Industrial strength monomer which sets like brick but causes loads of problems and damage.
We normaly use EMA Ethyl Methacrylate which is cosmetic strength monomer and much kinder :hug:

Now you mention it yeah there was a bit of a smell!
And the girl had also said that previously she got her nails done by someone there at start of the year but they started to lift after a few days. Then when went back last month she said to another girl what happened and she said she can guarantee her nails wont lift!
So must be that MMA stuff. Very nasty product!!! Why do people use it?!?!

yeh its very irritating why people use it. But to some people they dont care what happens to their nails aslong as there enhancements last argh. silly people xx
