Holy catwalk! The news has been flying in stateside regarding CND's ace collaborations at New York Fashion Week. Rather than drip feed it to you, I thought I'd let you all overdose on their Daily Nail news sent direct from New York. There's almost too much fabulous on here for one post but I'm hoping you can deal with it.

For my money, serious respect to the technicians at the Rachel Antoff and Rodarte shows for their high-maintenance manicure creations. Anyone deserves serious kudos for spending 150 hours and more creating catwalk nails! I also ♥ the twist on the French created by Shelena Robinson for the Angel Sanchez show, the bubbly nails (is that what we're calling them now?) at Joy Cioci, and pretty much anything created by the fab Kristina Estabrooks (see IMITATION by Tara Subkoff and the fab Psycho Beach Party Show by The Blonds.)

So, here's the round up of all things CND at New York Fashion Week.

Lily Vixen Nails @ BCBG
This was NYFW's 'Fifty Shades of Gray' where good girls went bad. CND's Roxanne Valinoti fashioned an innocent pink nails with CND Colour in Pink Lily sealed with slick, high-shine CND Air Dry Top Coat. Add to this the collection's seductive feminine tulle, embroidery and lace contrasted with menswear inspired, sculptural, leather harnesses and you just know that Christian Grey would be all over this. Galaxy Glam Nails @ Nicolle Miller
CNDs team were clearly seeing stars with their next creation. Fashioned by Candice Manacchio, the nails were inspired by the collection's 80s Sci-fi inspired prints. Using a custom blend mint green overlapped with sporadically sponged-on CND Sapphire Sparkle Effect, CND Studio White and a pink shade from CND's new polish line coming out in Spring 2013 (insert geek-shaped excitement here), the nails were edged out with CND Colour in Backjack for a modern twist. Fairy Nails @ Behnaz Sarafpour
CND's Shelena Robinson created a gorgeous fairy nail using whimsical Fairy Dust manicures in a prismatic glitter fade of blended CND Additives in Spectrum Shimmer and Antique Bronze over clear CND Air Dry Top Coat. (Image 3 courtesy of CND)

Natural Nail @ Jen Kao
Again, Shelena Robinson (she must be exhausted!) created a fab earthy, muted, beige nail inspired by bone with CND Gold Shimmer Effect layered with CND Colour in Pink Lily and finished with CND Super Matte Top Coat. There's no doubting the natural, nude nail is still a failsafe favourite for designers. It's here to stay... (Image 4 courtesy of CND)

Degas Delight @ Christian Siriano
Femme pastels and confectionary-toned delight encapsulated the nails at Christian Siriano's Degas' ballerina-inspired show. CND's Angi Wingle created nails that glimmered with pink CND Grapefruit Sparkle (another new colour from CND's upcoming new line). Paired with top knots and luminescent cheekbones, the look was truly en pointe. (Image 5 courtesy of CND)

Garden Nails @ Rachel Antoff
CND's Candice Manacchio showed why girls just want to have hedge fun at the country club! The Garden Part theme at the Rachel Antoff show allowed for lots of creative fun with Manacchio creating no less than three, yes three, nails! Firstly, the Aerial Nail portrayed a bird's eye view of Versailles. Secondly, the Garden Nail represented the maze-like quality of the winding hedges and finally, clear tips were layered with white and tagged with blue and red sharpies memorialising the friend and family dearest to the designer. Oh, and despite the garden theme, these nails were no walk in the park to create. It took the CND team over 65 hours to hand detail 600 tips for this show! (image 6 & 6b courtesy of CND)

Water Shimmer Nails @ Monique Lhuillier
Inspired by reflective, aquatic movement, Candice Manacchio's nails for the Monique Lhuillier show truly lit up the catwalk. The illuminated, underwater manicures and pedicures were created using CND Lavender Pearl Effect mixed with a few drops of brand new CND polish in Lilac Longing (another new shade that you'll have to wait until Spring 2013 to get your hands on). Set against the turquoise and gold eyeshadow, the look was truly marine marvellous. (Image 7 courtesy of CND)

Blown Glass Nails @ IMITATION by Tara Subkoff
Kristina Estabrooks created the "Blown Glass" manicure by using swirled and marbleised CND Copper Pearl Effect and CND Colour in Putty. Just as no marbelised nail was the same, the show represented women of all ages and body types reflecting our modern society and female diversity. (Image 8 courtesy of CND)

Freshwater Pearl Nails @ Malandrino
CND's Angi Wingle created the 'Freshwater Pearl' manicure using a custom blend of CND Air Dry Top Coat, Additives in Titanium Pearl and two drops of CND Colour in Blackjack. These gorgeous subdued, opalescent grey nails were beautifully feminine and a softer, Spring-like version of fall's liquid shine, foil-like chromes. (Image 9 courtesy of CND).

Oyster Shell Nails @ Binetti
These may be some of my favourite nails from New York, simply for the pure ingenuity of what's going on here. CND's Heather Reynose-Davis (a lady who appears to be part nail technician, architect and magician) created these oyster shell inspired nails using CND Colours in Tropic Coral, Flamingo Feather, Rouge Red and Blackjack. The triple-tier, triple-tastic manicure revealed delicate pearls between each nail layer! The look was also accompanied by lucite nails with accents of red and black with a see-through sophistication. (Image 10 courtesy of CND)

Nude Nails @ Victoria Beckham
CND's Roxanne Valinoti custom blended CND Colours in Putty and Desert Suede for a clean, professional nude on short natural nails. The subtle and sophisticated nail was combined with natural make up and slicked back hair to direct attention to the structured skirt suits, lingerie, fitted sheath dresses and calf-length gladiator sandals that VB peppered her catwalk with. (Image 11 courtesy of CND)

Bubbly Nails @ Joy Cioci
Bathing beauties reigned supreme at the Joy Cioci show with Candice Manacchio creating a nail that mimicked underwater bubbles using microbeads and small pearls for a delicate and dimensional texture. To create this look in the comfort of your own home, simply apply a top coat and dip the nail in to beads. And voila! (Image 12 courtesy of CND)

Modern French @ Angel Sanchez
Shelena Robinson was responsible for this fab French with a contrasting shiny and matte finish. The lighter section was created using a custom blend of CND Colours in Blueberry Whip, Tutu, Cream Washed and CND Additives in Pink Shimmer. The darker edge was made of Blueberry Whip, Tutu, Eclectic Purple and Raspberry Plunge. Gorgeous. (Image 13 courtesy of CND)

Milky Way Manis @ Karen Walker
The Milky Way Manicure was created by Angi Wingle to sit alongside Karen Walker's 80s inspired space age collection. This striking look was created using two coats of CND Colour Studio White with a matte top coat. (Image 14 courtesy of CND).

Modern Medieval @ Rodarte
CND's Michele Huynh created (over 150 hours!) this Modern Medieval Manicure for Rodarte's show. By weaving strips of custom blended and mattefied CND Colours in Desert Suede, Frosting Cream and Chocolate Milk over a base of blend of high shine CND Colours in Desert Suede and Frosting Cream, this eye-catching nail design was a lovingly created masterpiece. (Image 15 & 15b courtesy of CND).

Psycho Beach Party Nails @ The Blonds
Kristina Estabrooks created some fabulous nail-shaped masterpieces for The Blonds show. Inspired by the Psycho Beach Party theme, Estabrooks presented an array of elaborately detailed nails including the Shark Bite nail, Skinny Dip Blue nail and the Red Caviar Nail all created over CND Colour in Blackjack. With London Fashion Week nearly in full swing, watch this space for more catwalk nails.

Until then...geek on!
