i done my friends nails with fibreglass last week, but they have come off already. she's a hairdresser,so do you think that using the colours and bleach would have weakened them. I've only just qualified, and dont know whether its soething im doing wrong? i do my own nails and my seem to last ages.

nails - whether they fibreglass, l/p or gel - makes no diff flower - the diff is your clients nails - how soon do you do her nails - after she been working with hair all day? the reason i ask is because, hairdressers nail beds tend to be over exposed to water, which makes them swell - then you do a set of nails on her, then when her nailbeds have shrunk back to normal, this is when the nail enhancements tend to pop as they cant cope with the moisture thats in there (hope that made sense) i have found that if im doing a hairdresser client, i ask her to come to me at least 8 hours AFTER she finished work, then her nail beds are NORMAL (for want of a better word)

well, we she done my hair for me and then i done her nails straight afterwards, so that could be why!! thanks for your help. maybe next time i'll tell her what you suggest, and see what happens. i was thinking that it was something i was doing. thanks

fiberglass also seems to be porous, so we suggest our tech to finish it with a sealer, as water can cause lifting (and you know it)
