Just a quick question some one told me a little while ago that its not a good idea to have nails done (gel or acrylic )when you are pregnant??? is this true it sounds odd to me?? x

Thanx guys :)

That was something I was told but did think it was and old wives tale. That thread is great for info Thanks ValencianNails it helped alot :)

I've been doing my daughter's nails whilst she is pregnant. I've asked her to ask he miswife on her next visit if she can have them all on for the birth. I was wondering if it might be the same as when you go in for an op (just in case something untowards happens) as I was told to remove mine before I had an op.

I had gel on all the way through my pregnancy and also had them on my toes for when i went into labour......had to look my best i thought. But i had no probs and the midwife didnt say anything. Something that might occur could be that a pregnant ladys nails my not adheire (spelling) well to the system due to the change in the nails while being pregnant, but like i say i was fine.
HTH. x

Even this is a bit of an old wives tale with new technology products like CND.

When using products with old technology then it could be a problem but it is not a universal problem even then.

My daughter's nails are looking really fab. She's due a rebalance, but I had a look at them yesterday and there is absoloutely no lifting. I can tell you I wass really pleased. I'm putting it down to the fact that I've finally drummed it into her that she must use her solar oil, and she has been using it twice a day. I think it'll be the quickest rebalance I've ever done, because I am expecting the product to file really easily too because she has been using the solar oil. xx
